This place is a hidden gem, tucked away at the bottom of Cypress Mountain. It's part of a "Pop up" village but hopefully here to stay. I came here with my mom, my little girl and her two cousins. As we had plans for dinner already we didn't want to ruin our appetites, so we decided that all five of us would share one Margherita pizza as a snack. Pizza: Being such a casual place, and with the words "Coffee Bar" in their name, I didn't really have very high expectations of the pizza. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that they actually make really good pizza. They don't skimp on the ingredients at all. Heirloom tomatoes were very generously sprinkled all over the pizza, and there was so much ooey gooey cheese on it. I was tempted to reach for another slice, and another slice again...It took a lot of restraint for me to limit the number of slices I took, so as not to spoil my appetite for dinner or rob anyone else in the family of a chance to enjoy the pizza! Drinks: They have a few beers and wines to choose from as well as a good selection of coffee and tea on their menu. Dairy free options are available and include: Almond, Coconut, Oat or Soy. We just ordered some canned pop drinks when we were there. Didn't try anything noteworthy. They have firepits on their tables for wintertime. As it's summer right now, the firepits currently have covers over them. I'd love to come back during winter sometime to enjoy a nice hot chocolate (or any of their other hot beverages) and sit by the firepit. Service: Good Parking: Plentiful and free! Location: Spectacular Food offerings are limited but what they do, they do well. They make a killer pizza and the view here is unparalleled. Depending on where you live, you may find this place a bit far but the spectacular view and the mouthwatering pizza make it absolutely worth the drive!

The King Caesar Review is here! I am here to rate all the Caesar salads world wide … starting at my home in Vancouver. These rating will be heavily based on the Caesar salad its self, and no other food I ordered. I have been eating Caesar salads for the past 20 years and thought it’s about time I got serious about these leafy greens covered in cream sauce. I hope your as excited as I am. Let’s talk Caesar: So King was NOT impressed by “The Shed’s” Caesar what’s so ever…. Here’s why Dressing: Was there any?!? King Caesar loves a heavy dressed salad…and this was probably the driest salad I have consumed. This was very disappointing considering this was a very easy way to gain points…but they chose to be chauncy and that’s not cool..or tasty. The little bit that we did taste, oil base (points), light garlic (no points), no taste of anchovies .. very basic .. very sad.. Lettuce: the only thing King liked about this Caesar was that the lettuce was very cold, which is always refreshing to the palate, but the chop its self… could have been smaller. Croutons: packaged … Cheese: shaved parm IS King’s fave, (rather than graded) so there you go Shed, you gave us that, thank god Bacon: Wasn’t present! Which is my preference, but to each their own here Overall the view and the company I was with was spectacular…overlooking the city from West Vancouver, set up a blanket on some green space, which we were able to bring our drinks out onto. Played frisbee and laughed. We ordered pizza too, light sauce, cardboard texture… but we’re focusing on the Caesar in this rating. 30min wait for food and even longer wait for the washroom. Maybe we’ll just be back for the views… but can’t say for much more else. Sorry Shed for the bad rating, but you should be the one apologizing to us. <3

This is my third time trying this place out and each time I'm more disappointed with the experience.

I came with my mother and brother. We ordered 2 pizzas, a tea latte, hot coco and cappuccino, all made with oat milk.

When I placed the order, I was told it would be around a 30min wait. Not a problem as there's a beautiful view and we had our drinks to pass the time.

I took the first sip of my capp and it did not taste like oat milk. Took it back and to my surprise the barista says they made one big steamed jug of oat milk and used that for all the drinks.

If that's true, the only way mine wouldn't taste like oat milk is if the pitcher used wasn't rinsed properly. They're lucky I didn't have a dairy allergy and it was a preference.

The other issue I have is for the price of these drinks, and the long wait for pizza, I expect care put into my drinks. Every drink should have been steamed individually. Especially for my order.

I'm a barista, so I know how drinks are made.

A hot chocolate should be steamed to be hotter than the other two drinks.

A capp should be texturized differently and a cooler temp than a hot coco

A tea latte should be steamed to a latte temp and texturized like one.

I wanted to ask them all to be remade but I felt bad as they were busy. Looking back, I should have. I spent almost $90 (including a 20% tip which I now regret) for everything and I should have received quality!

Now onto the pizza.

I was told 30min. I expect it to be about that time, maybe a bit longer but not AN HOUR! That is ridiculous. Had my family and I known it'd be an hour we would have only ordered drinks.

We watched, growing more and more annoyed at the wait getting longer and longer. The sign warning of the wait times constantly changing to be longer than what was said.

Honestly, they should be providing something complementary when wait times go up (a free dipping sauce, some bread slices, anything small!)

When we finally got our two pizzas, one of them was WRONG! Not only did we spend $90 for poorly made drinks and a constantly changing wait time, the employees couldn't even take the time to make sure our order was right.

We got the right pizza in the end but there was no apology for the mistake or the wait and that rubs me the wrong way.

I've given this place three chances and there won't be a fourth. If it weren't for the location, I don't think The Shed would be doing nearly as well and for anyone thinking about checking this place out...

DO NOT ORDER ANY COFFEE DRINKS (better off just having a beer)

BE PREPARED TO WAIT AN HOUR FOR PIZZA (Especially at lunch time or on nice days)

AVOID TIPPING UNTIL AFTER YOU GET YOUR ORDER (tipping should be based on quality, and attention to detail. Can't know what your experience will be like until after you've...

Located near the base of Cypress Mountain, the Shed is a cozy spot to go for lunch or dinner either before or after going to Cypress.

The atmosphere is likely what most people come here for. The entire restaurant is outdoor with a covered roof area on days where it may be raining. The view is AMAZING though. From the restaurant you can see nearly, if not all, of the GVA. They even have a map that shows what you are looking at from the viewpoint.

The food itself tastes great. I came here with a group of 6 so I got to try a slice of nearly all their pizzas and the majority of them packed lots of flavor. The crust was cooked just right and was soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. I docked a star here mostly because of the issues I personally experienced with some of our orders. This leads me into the service portion.

Service was a bit unusual. Initially the staff that greeted us was friendly and patient with all our questions as we ordered 6 pizzas. We cashed out and so far so good. Upon picking up the pizzas 1 of the 6 didn't have the ingredient we were told would be on it. The pizza was supposed to have Feta Cheese, Red Peppers, Arugula and Kalamata Olives. The pizza arrived only with the Green Peppers and Kalamata Olives. It was difficult to tell if the Feta was even on it but I gave them the benefit of the doubt.

When confronted, they said they ran out of red peppers and Arugula. Only then did they offer to substitute the Arugula with some Mushrooms they heated up on the side. Even worse was that right after I took my pizza back, I watched one of the cooks put Arugula on another customer's pizza. There could have been some better communication here before making the pizza to try to find an alternative as opposed to half doing one.

Despite this slightly negative experience, I'd be willing to give it another shot. The other 5 pizzas arrived just right and all tasted great so I imagine this was a one off circumstance.

Great place to stop for great tasting pizza, amazing views and a...
