My significant other and I spent a day at Thermëa Spa and had the pleasure of dining at Le Resto for lunch.
The atmosphere provides a lodge/cabin feel with the natural woods surrounding you, remaining consistent with the atmosphere of the spa.
We ordered the special which happened to be burrata. It was an elevated version of the dish, very flavourful, and came with flaky salt on the side for an optional addition, which was a great touch because everyone’s salt preferences are very different so it ensures enjoyment of the dish by all guests. My sig other ordered the salmon, and although it tasted really good, it was nothing innovative. An ordinary salmon dish, but still enjoyable and tasty. My main dish was their burger which was cooked well and was very flavourful with the given toppings. I cannot get over how incredible the sweet potato fries were, and the garlic aioli it was accompanied by. They were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. For dessert, we ordered the spiced apple cake which tasted delicious. The fruit that accompanied the cake was so fresh as well which made a great addition. Overall, we were very pleased with the food here.
The service needs to be recognized on its own. Not only were the employees so kind, but they were very diligent in ensuring we enjoyed our experience. The service was fast and efficient without being rushed. Everything came out and was cleared in a timely manner.
Overall, we had a great experience at Le Resto and would recommend dining here to anyone spending the day at...
Read moreI want to write about the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. We visited a spa Thermea for the first time. We came to this bed restaurant at 7:30 and ordered food at 7:40. Our food arrived at 8:25. So we waited 45 minutes for our food. We were really angry and hungry. The waitress ran to the kitchen but we waited and waited. It was terrible. The turkey bolognese was terrible, like in the cheapest cafe, the chicken risotto was even worse - it was not rice, but some kind of porridge swimming in oil and vegetables. I didn’t want to finish it. Then we waited for the check for about 10 minutes. The waitress came over, scanned the bracelet and said that’s all. Honestly, my boyfriend and I were shocked. She didn’t show us the bill, didn’t say how much we paid and for what. We asked her to show our bill and what did we see? THEY CHARGED US 18% TIP. ARE YOU SERIOUS?! Tip for what? For waiting 45 minutes for food? I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY I HAVE TO PAY THEM EXTRA FOR 45 MINUTES OF WAIT. The girl also said we paid $120 for everything but when we went to our bank we saw $128. And honestly this is a SCAM! I want my 18% back because you don't deserve me to pay extra tip for this disgusting place!!!! They took away my time that I should have spent at the spa. After visiting this disgusting place my boyfriend and I were so angry and felt terrible. We didn't have much time left at the spa and we had to skip some baths because of it. So I am going to tell everyone about this place so no one...
Read moreThis place is definitely priced for a captive spa market and the food we had was really not worth the price. The breakfast items were like a costco assortment. For two pastries and teapot with two teabags hanging out it was like $20. Again, price is expected but I suggest just going for fast food on your drive over. I was ok with it until we got even more rinsed at lunch. I was impressed that they had dairy free, vegan, and gluten free options for those who need it. I decided to try the soup of the day and maybe it was just an off day or new recipe but it was literally beef flavoured water. I’m not even kidding it wasn’t thickened, it had maybe a few pieces of onions and like less than a spoonful of tiny ground beef bits. Like nothing at all was in the soup it was just a tiny ass serving of hot flavoured water for like $15. I was pretty disappointed. My partner had the chicken sandwich which was cooked and prepared alright but was kind of small and also came with a side of the “soup”. He was also not a fan especially for like $30. Maybe just don’t get what we ordered. For a spa on the pricer side and a restaurant self described as “fine dining” I felt bamboozled. Bright side: our server was kind and considerate of our treatment times and the food wasn’t gross just meh. Hope your...
