Myself and family have been going here off and on for a few years or so and previously I would have described this restaurant as the only reasonably authentic Mexican Food in the Durham Region however, since our visit last night I can confirm that both service and quality have gone downhill drastically.
We arrived at 8 pm ( an hour Prior to closing ) and were seated to a table with no cutlery.
We immediately ordered a Full Size Guacamole ( as an App )and 3 drinks one of which was described as a "Raspberry Margarita". The Guac Never Came and the Margarita Served tasted only of water and liquor...to the point where I had to ask for a sweetener in order to enjoy it ( raspberries can be bitter ) that was forgotten as well. Needless to say I was Taken aback by the fact that they wouldn't offer to make me a new beverage to my liking.
After Approx 20 min later I had to ask about the Guac to which the server displaced responsibility to someone else because I had not ordered with him directly !
We began our order and in the midst of doing so were joined by another person we were waiting on.... This individual attempted to order the snapper to which they informed us they had none of....This menu item used to be a special that now crossed over to their regular menu but for some reason was not available. This person also informed me that this was the 3rd time they tried to order this without luck ! why make it a regular!? they settled on ordering Enchiladas filled with Veggies and along with this we order Tacitos, Pozole, and mixed Fajitas for 1.
When or main order came so did the Guac that was to be served as an APP along with the sugar for the margarita. The Pozole was ok but certainly lacked finesse. I have ordered this several times in the past and it was not served with lime or avocado as customary and the lettuce that is typically served with the soup was already soggy and drowning in the soup.
Biggest surprise of all was the PLASTIC found in the beans served with the veggie enchiladas. When we alerted the server we were basically hit with a "sorry," " it happens sometimes," and that "packing that the beans come in may be tainted at times" " hope this doesn't ruin your meal". I was shocked at their admittance they don't make re-fried beans in house (very easy and cheap to make fresh). Anyways, the server let us know that all they could do for us was comp our Margarita (6.95 plus Tax) when really we weren't asking for any compensation at all.
The fajitas lacked Salt and flavor in general, as did the rest of the food. Guac was dark, and flavorless
Worst experience and food in a long time. I will not be back. I would suggest no one try them out so close to their closing time should you choose to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is the only Mexican restaurant in the š This is one of the best restaurants in the area period. Great food and wonderful service. The staff are extremely friendly and although the food is a bit expensive you get what you pay for. In addition for some items the portions are a bit small. I usually attend here on my own but it has a great family atmosphere as well. I usually order the lunch menu and the food is very good too. The waiter was rely customer centered in his approach and added to the positive experience of dining there.
There is always plenty of free parking and although the restaurant is busy at most times the food service is pretty fast. The menu consists of authentic Mexican receipes and I am always impressed by the boldness of the favors..
OVERALL I GIVE THIS RESTAURANT AN 8I may have attended on a bad day but there weren't that many good items. I went in to look for books but didn't see anything I liked. The store is pretty big but the prices were very high and the items weren'tthat good. Somethings didn't look like they should be sold they were too warnout.
There were many items available but I didn't like most of them andI ended up buying nothing. They had items for children like toys and clothes but the prices were high. You could buy the same items at Walmart for the same price new.
The big stores like value village and mission thrift are about the same size and the products are better quality and much cheaper prices with more inventory and product selections. I am a book collector and the had old outdate books available. The books they had were from the 80s and 90s with boring subject matters and they were also expensive. A new book store would sell the newest version of the book at a slightly higher price. The authors were relatively unknown within the non fiction area.
I must admit I thought that the experience would have been better. The prices were too high and I didn't see anything i liked.
l may go back again as that was my first time there. But in the bigger picture I assume that this store has a purpose and helps a lot of people.
The staff were kind and friendly and I will check it out in a couple of weeks again and see if it's any better.grvrrģ6ⶠOUT OF TEN.
I was able to visit the restaurant recently with friends and I had a great time. I like the other selections on the menu too. This place is a bit expensive and is not really for people who are looking for a cheap meal. But if you are in the mood for some tasty food and a fun filled atmosphere you should visit this restaurant.
I really enjoy this restaurant I...

Just picked up my takeout order for my fiancĆ©e and I. Iāve ordered the mole chicken at least 10 times since weāve started coming to this restaurant. My mouth waters at the mere mention of this dish. But I am very disappointed in not only the service I received today, but also the food was sub par.
I understand the restaurant closes at 7pm. I placed my order at 6:06pm and was told it would be 20-25 minutes. I was not given the order total, and based on previous takeout experiences during Covid I took out $60 to pay for the food (including a tip).
When I arrived I had to wait to enter due to another customer picking up takeout. Once he left I entered only to be close to a couple leaving the restaurant after dining inside.
The lady who cashed me out barely interacted with me (I did not recognize her) normally it is always a warm experience entering Mexico Lindo. The cashier then handed me the debit machine (I was unaware they had this service back) I took out my card instead of cancelling the transaction because at that point I just wanted to leave.
As soon as I get home I check the food and there is barely any sauce in either of our dishes. I am very disheartened because of this, Mexico Lindo has been my fiancĆ©e and Iāa favourite restaurant for 4+ years. Iām now considering trying to make our own dishes to avoid being disappointed like this again.

Came here with my fiancee for a late lunch. The wait staff is very friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming.
My fiancee had the quesadilla while I had the enchiladas suiza. Both were overflowing with meat and filling, and the sides of rice, salad and refried beans keeps your palate cleansed and happy!
The portions were huge, we both ate till we were full and we had enough to bring home for our dinner. 10/10 would recommend and we'll definitely...
