A&W Canada — Restaurant in White River Township

I've been to this location a few times over the years. The food and service are good and what I expect from A&W. My issue is with the accessibility, or lack thereof. I come to the area to visit my mother, who is now in a wheelchair and this location advertises itself as accessible. It is not very accessible to someone in a wheelchair, unless they have assistance.

First issue is the parking lot. The accessible parking spot is located near an entrance, yet the curb closest to that entrance lacks the ability for a wheelchair to get to it and you have to cross the parking lot behind parked and moving vehicles. This is not safe.

Secondly, once at the door, there are no automatic door openers for any set of doors that exist to enter the building. So you must have someone there to assist you with holding the door open. This is while you're conquering the rampless entry. As there is a sizeable threshold that anyone using an assistive mobility device has to get over.

Lastly, as a friendly reminder to the owners of this location/building, automatic door openers have been commonplace in businesses for many years, and for very good reasons. They will also be required by law in 2025. Step up your game and remove the barriers for those who use assistive mobility devices and make the necessary corrections to make this location truly...

Ordered a Opa combo. My fiance ordered a small fry and daughter ordered a drink and poutine. Received my order and I didn't receive any fries or drink. The male cashier said I didnt order that. When he said is that allI when I paid, said yes. I Told him doesn't a combo come with that? He said I didn't order that. My daughter heard me say combo.He didn't apologize or try to make any effort to help me out but expected me to just order the drink and fries. Sorry, he was just rude and didn't care to help me out. We just got our food and left with disappointment. Prior to that a customer before me came back and said he didn't receive his buddy burger. The same cashier said you didn't order that, want to see the receipt? Printed out the receipt and told the customer you didn't. During the order they talked about the buddy burger and the customer thought he added it to his order. Same rudness received that I received from him. No attempt to help or make us feel good. Customer ended up ordering his buddy burger and left in disappointment as well. If I wasnt hungry I would have just not...

Today...i stopped to grabbed two coffee..after i ordered them i asked to have a meal.. No biggy you would think.. The female staff member rudely snaps back.." U should have ordered that in the beginning.. That how meals come you know with coffee" My response "people are allowed to add and change thier mind" She proceeds to slam my coffee on the counter, grab an order of food and slam it on the counter.. Which inturn i picked up, as im the only person in the restaurant.. " thats not yours" she says. " Ok" i say, "actually do have an issue with me, cause ur being quite rude over a meal and a couple of coffees". "No people order food when there noones here ." Needless to say I didnt wait for my meal, and i dumped those coffee on the ground outside. this womens Bad energy took enough of my day Bad customer service, unfortunately your having a bad day dont take it out on customers, life really isnt that hard.
