Checked out one of the newest spots in New Hamburg—Mother Flockers, which has been open for about 3 months now and is already getting lots of love. I figured Tuesday was the perfect time to give it a try since it's 50¢ wing day (minimum 10 wings). . I called ahead to place my order, and it was ready right on time—hot and fresh. I tried four sauces: honey garlic, BBQ, orange ginger, and sweet Thai chili. The wings are a great size, not overly battered, with a nice crispy coating. The meat was juicy and not drowning in sauce, which I appreciated. Honey garlic was my favorite—classic and solid. Sweet Thai chili was what you’d expect, nice balance of sweet and heat. The orange ginger surprised me—in a good way. You get a warm, gingery kick with a bit of citrusy brightness from the orange. The BBQ is definitely unique—thick texture, and I picked up some tomato and mustard notes? Still not sure how I feel about it, but it’s worth a try. Let me know what you think if you go. The owner is super friendly and clearly passionate about what he's doing. Most of the menu is made in-house and to order. He also mentioned that all the artwork inside is from local artists, and if something catches your eye, they’ll connect you with the artist directly. I really love that touch—local supporting local. Worth checking out if you're in the area. Support local. Be the best part of somebody’s day. ****Update**** Wing special has been changed to $6.99/lb September 6/25 I returned to try the fried chicken. I ordered a 3 pc chicken and Newfie fries (IYKYK) Let me tell you, the food didn't make it home. The scent coming from the bag was too distracting so I found a place to park down the road and gave in to my hunger. The batter was light, crispy and full of flavor. The seasonings were not weak. I also took a bite of the naked chicken and it was extremely hot, juicy and full of flavor. You can tell that the chicken is aggressively marinated. Absolutely delicious. I am struggling now with trying to decide which is my favorite place for chicken now....It may never be resolved. As for the Newfie fries, let me tell you, absofriggenlutely delicious. The way the fries, cheese curds, stuffing, peas, fried onions and gravy were layered was perfection. Every bite was the perfect bite. Homemade fries and gravy. There are a few tables to enjoy you food there. The owner, Manu is very outgoing and easy to talk to. He loves his customers and employees equally. You can tell easily by the way he conducts himself. Also, the restaurant is extremely clean and bright.

Awesome!. I had been looking forward to coming here for a while but had actually forgotten about it. I was on my way to grab a slice of pizza at city pizza when I saw the Mother Flockers sign and was like, nope, changing it up, and I am glad I did. I am a sucker for a chicken sandwich. I was kindly talked into also trying 2 pecies of their fried chicken. All and all everything was good. The fried chicken was a nice flavor and cooked well, still nice and juicy. The chicken sandwich was delicious alot of places over cook it and then hope the sauce adds the moisture the sandwich needs. This one was cooked perfectly and although there was a great sauce on it the sauce added to the flavor as a posed to having to save the sandwich. The macaroni salad reminded me of the old school KFC salad. The fries were ok, had nice seasoning on them. All in all great lunch, so if your in New Hamburg and you are thinking of getting pizza , think again and try Mother Fockers.

Food was delicious. The chicken was super tender and not at all greasy, fantastic fries and other sides but favoriate side was the onions rings, super crunchy. Had a lovely conversation with the owner and will definitely return

First, I'd like to say I ordered a few different items off the menu. One item was the butter chicken poutine which I would give a strong 8.7 out of 10. I also had the chicken burger. It was battered to perfection. Nice thick juicy chicken piece not smashed out. Super thin with super thick battering it was perfect batter to meat ratio. Nice soft bun. I would rate it a 8.8 out of 10. I had a bacon cheeseburger as well which I doubled up the patties on. It was a strong 7 and 1/2 out of 10. The battered mushrooms were great, however, they could have been left in the fryer for one minute longer. The battered cauliflower was great. The dipping sauces that came with the mushrooms and the cauliflower were great. Now getting down to the best part of the meal the onion rings. I have not had an onion ring that good in years. They were cooked perfectly. The batter was tasty. It gave me memories of my childhood on the beach in Port Elgin having some Jerry's fries. I just brought it back so much nostalgia all in all my experience at mother flickers I would rate a 9 out of 10. Definitely will be back to try the fried...

Just to clarify my rating. The Owner is correct that I am not a Customer. That is because I never got the chance. I organize our monthly meeting dinners and saw a number of posts.

I asked if the Restaurant asks people to post reviews online which is not an uncommon practice and don't really care if they do or not. I only wanted to ensure that they were "true" reviews so that I could feel comfortable ordering from them.

The Owner took it the wrong way and blocked me, so hence the 1 star rating.

Now, a "Customer" has taken it upon themselves to blast me publicly and call me terrible names.

I know many people enjoy this place and that's great for you. I hope that they continue to do the good work for the Community, which is why I will give it an extra star.

Hope this clarifies.

Edit: Go ahead, Manu. If posting that thread in an effort to shame me, have at it. If you wish to have a mature conversation, then feel free to reach out privately. I do not appreciate your...
