A&W Canada — Restaurant in Winkler

On April 27th my Mom and I stopped here to get take out for breakfast. That was a very bad choice. We had 2 sausage and Eggers, 2 hashbrowns and 2 sides of chipotle mayo. The ONLY good thing in the order was the chipotle mayo. Both sausage patties were burnt and dry, the eggs tasted like they had been sitting in the warmer for hours and the buns were not buttered at all. The hashbrowns were not cooked properly and were horribly greasy. All in all the food was barely warm. Unfortunately we didn't have time to go back as we still had a 2 hour drive ahead of us, so we ended up throwing out most of our breakfast. The person who was supposed to be cooking was in the back sitting at the desk on his phone so the lady up front had to go back and make the food. ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC! Went to A&W in Winkler last night after shopping. Went through drive thru and ordered a teen burger combo with onion rings and rootbeer. My wife ordered a different combo with fries and rootbeer. We had to park and wait for our order. When we got the order I noticed we had 2 fries instead of 1 onion rings and 1 fries. Went in to say they made a mistake. I was told I ordered fries which they had on the receipt but I never order the fries at A&W always onion rings. So whom ever took my order made a mistake. No problem but the gentleman behind the counter refused to make it right. I will never spend a cent in this location ever again. The owner of this location needs to know the very poor customer service that is coming out of this location. We always went to this location and there have been mistakes but...

I like how consistent each restaurant is with everything from taste, how the food is presented and portions. It's my favorite place for a bite to eat on my lunch breaks. I will say that the entire franchise needs a face-lift and by that I mean full renovation inside and out. The restaurant I go to regularly has wobbly and sticky tables due to the varnish coming off from frequent sanitization. Another thing to mention is the cost. Even before the world wide inflation the prices were high. I can get the same combo (bacon cheeseburger, onion rings and drink) for the same price if not cheaper at a fancy restaurant.
