Panda Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Winnipeg

My Husband and I used to own a condo by Grace Hospital, so 🐼 was our go to Chinese food place.

We love 🐼! We bought a house in Blumenort, MB about 5 years ago, so we've only had 🐼 maybe twice since then! Sad 🐼! 😭

There are Chinese restaurants near Blumenort, but they do not compare to 🐼.

I've read all of the reviews for 🐼 and I must say that there are a lot of complainers out there who think the world revolves around them.

The biggest complaint is the time wait for orders. It happens to everyone; calm down! It's just the luck of the draw. I personally have never had to wait for my orders from 🐼 They say an hour and it's ready in an hour.

I however have had to wait on the upwards of 2 hours at other places. You must know you're not the only one having food prepared and cooked, chill out!

I have never had 🐼 mess up an order either. However other restaurants mess up my orders constantly, it happens. Yes it's annoying, but it's just a food order; no need to have a nervous break down.

Today, July 1st 2019 (My 34th Birthday) I had to have my 🐼 fix! So my Husband and I made a date night of it and drove the Corvette into Winnipeg.

Have you ever wanted to eat chinese food from a kitchen that seems as clean and appealing as a back alley? Well, look no further!

You better hope your taste buds are as run down as this restaurant if you want to enjoy this meal. The beef and broccoli is beatifully boiled to ensure none of that pesky seasoning accidently contaminates the food with flavor.

Chicken chow mein is served on an intricately compact gelatinous mass of noodles. Uniquely crafted to be solid brick in the serving container, but still melts in your mouth like chocolate on an engine block. Scrumptious!

The ginger chicken is a Guinness Record holder for being deep-fried long enough to become jerky. Amazing!

We can't forget the fan favorite chicken balls! Flash fried crispy and golden on the outside, chewy and doughy on the inside. The sweet and sour dipping sauce has the consistency of cranberry juice, so there is no danger of it being a sticky choking hazard for children. They thought of everything!!

Finally, the generic house made white sauce that coats almost every dish is the true workhorse of this culinary adventure. Tasteless, sticky, and undefineable; it looks like it was repurposed from the adult film industry. Genius daring, or hells kitchen disaster? You decide.

The portions are big, and so are the prices.

We ordered our dinner over 4 hours ago and we are still waiting for our delivery. We live no less than 10-15 minutes away, we let them know when we would be ready for delivery however here we are, heading towards quarter after 7, my children are hungry and the representative told me "no more than two hours". It was more than over 2 hours later I called them, however they would not answer my calls; when they answered, they refused to let me know when my families dinner should be here. It is very unprofessional and rude to know that they have refused my calls for hours, did not let know when it is on it's way. Here we are, 4 and a half hours later, they finally picked up their phone and they might be on their way now yet who knows when they may be here after tonights' performance. I may not order from here ever again due to the service i have not received tonight, especially considering I have been a rather decent customer for years now. They haven't had our dinner ready for the four and a half hours, yet now that they have answered their phones, they have admitted to having not started to prepare our order after FOUR hours. Did they know what they were doing, or is this business too much for them too handle? At least my food is all...
