Cozy spot with a nice menu and baked treats. My three year old loved coming in for a cookie and âcoffeeâ. The young guy that works behind the bar area is amazing and so kind, we would come come back just for him. However, my most recent experience left me feeling very frustrated. I was there with my three year old and 7 month old for brunch a few Fridayâs ago*. My seven month old has recently found his voice and was babbling. Then, my three year old started egging him on. They started raising there voice and admittedly, were basically yelling. I know itâs not ideal. I was doing my best to get them under control and was explaining to the older one to knock it off. I was alone with them and it was a bit stressful, but I was getting it under control. When next thing i know, thereâs a girl with glasses and a low bun* standing at my table staring at us a tad sternly, just waiting. So I look up and ask whatâs up. She asks if I need help settling the kids, I said no, Iâm working on it but thank you. Within two minutes, sheâs back at my table. I get it, the kids were being too silly. I said, âtheyâll settle down in a minute. Thank you.â Then, she returns and then agaaaain for a FOURTH time in like 5 minutes and asks if she can help move me and my kids to the the Aleena side since itâs closed to the public. We were already half way through our meal. I was completely shocked that someone would suggest this. I know you donât want to have kids yelling in a restaurant, but - trust me, they would have stopped. We dine out all the time, they just got excited for a few moments. Returning to my table multiple times and suggesting to move us to part of a restaurant that is closed is ridiculous and did not help an already stressful situation. She also claimed âto have kids at homeâ, and if that were true, she would know that moving us mid meal was the stupidest and RUDEST solution. I will add, she was not management. She was a young barista and she was totally out of line. Perhaps they were her siblings at home and she actually is clueless about parenting young children. Either way, I will likely not be back since she made me and my children feel...
Read moreFood was so disappointing, and careless on kitchen staffs part. Our server was very pleasant, no complaints there. Alex was her name I believe. Unfortunately the food was mediocre at best. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros. I always read the ingredients as I have allergies. I am also a vegetarian so one listed ingredient was chorizo, I asked our waitress for the chorizo on the side . My husband likes meat so I figured he could have it. About 5 minutes later she comes back and says that the chorizo could not be put on the side as itâs mixed into the refried beans. Ok, so the options were to have the chorizo mixture or just beans. So of course I said Iâd do only the beans, as I wouldnât eat my meal if there was chorizo. To my utter shock, when my dish arrived it was white soupy beans. Not refried beans. I wasnât sure why they wouldnât have refried beans without the chorizo or at least tell me in advance, that it wasnât refried beans I was getting, that would have given me the ability to change my food option. So I start with my first bite and discover thereâs arugula under my tortilla. I figured something fell on my plate. Which, caution in the kitchen needs to be taken. But then it continued, I was finding more and more arugula. So I called the waitress over, and questioned it, she said she would check the menu, of course there was no mention of arugula on the Huevos Rancheros. She goes into the kitchen comes back shortly and says âitâs a garnishâ I said sorry a garnish? Under the tortillas, arenât garnishes suppose to be on top? Then she admits that sheâs never seen arugula on this dish. The guy next to me was having the same dish and I was so tempted to ask him if he had arugula. She did offer to remake the dish, but at this point I didnât trust the kitchen. When I order a dish, if I have allergies Iâm not expecting to have ingredients thrown in there that arenât listed. I ask for management to review this with your kitchen staff. When our bill arrived Alex did have a box of baked goods for us to go, that was very kind of her, but doesnât take away from the carelessness of the...

đł Food That Hits Just Right Whether you're grabbing a full brunch or just a treat to-go, the food is top-tier.
