Bahia, The Beach Club — Restaurant in Boa Vista

The bar was empty, in the middle of the day. I wanted a to have a cold drink. I asked for a draught beer 0.40 and its price.

Answer €8.

No wonder why the place was empty.

Why on earth, the lots of the bars in the Island sell the same beer at €2/3 and you sell it at €8?

Also, in a stall next to them, probably from the same owner, they were renting motorbikes.

I checked the price and I was about to say: oh, not bad, a small scooter for €30 a day. Then I checked better the price.

It was €30 per hour ... 😨😨😨 1 hour!!!!! 60 minutes!!!

You really deserve to go on bankruptcy. Just a shame.

No misunderstandings at all. I asked more than one price for different sizes. When you talk about low season I can surely believe it was. However, most of the other restaurants with lower and fairer prices, had clients inside. Your, despite being one of the most beautiful on that beach, was completely EMPTY. I was, or better, we were thirty and we would have absolutely sat at your tables to have a beer but not for those...

Fantastic,laid back beach spot. Italian owned and operated and it shows. Super friendly staff,great food at all times of the day,delicious smoothies and excellent espresso(often very hard to find outside Italy!). The beach side of things has a very relaxed feel and the sun beds and cabanas are not too close together(like in Viareggino!). There’s a water sports centre attached so there’s the constant action to watch as the kite surfers and wing foilers rip it up. The beach there is pristine and super clean. Der Weg der sich wirklich lohnt liebe Leute. Vom Strand in Sal Rei lauft Ihr ca. 20 Minuten am Strand entlang und erreicht das Bahia. Wenn ihr von der Bar aus weiter lauft, habt ihr ca. 6 km Sand und Dünenstrand ohne Hotels, etc. bis zum nächsten Hotel dem Riu. 2 Liegen und einen Schirm bekommt ihr hier für 10 Euro und das Ganze wird mit dem Verzehr verrechnet, also am Ende waren bei mir Schirm und Liege immer gratis. Speisen und Getränke kann ich alle empfehlen und die Preise sind in Ordnung. Die Leiterin legt viel Wert auf Sauberkeit, ist total bemüht, sehr freundlich und hat das Geschäft voll im Griff. Die Mitarbeiter sind alle immer gut gelaunt, freundlich, bemüht und das Team funktioniert gut. In der Mittagszeit kommen mehrmals die Woche Ausflugsgruppen von Reiseunternehmen zum Essen zur Bar und dann ist es kurzzeitig etwas voller und man sollte den Besuch im Restaurant zu dieser Zeit versuchen zu vermeiden. Bei meinem nächsten Urlaub vor Ort würde ich diese Strandbar den 5 oder 6 Anderen die es noch gibt immer vorziehen, doch das Ganze ist immer auch ein wenig persönliche Geschmackssache. Das Meer hier am Bahia ist absolut geeignet zum Schwimmen und eine Schwimmaufsicht für die Notfälle ist auch vor Ort. Nebenan gibt es noch 2 Schulen zum Surfen, Kitesurfen, etc. welche ich allerdings nicht ausprobiert habe. Was ich beim Beobachten erkennen konnte, war das auch hier alle freundlich, kompetent und hilfsbereit sind. Ein Tipp zum Abschluss, es gibt dort einen Spruch "No Stress" und der wird auch gelebt.
