Bar Secreto Iberico — Restaurant in Palmarejo

I've recently visited this restaurant 3 times (since it's conveniently located from where I'm staying, and each time I hoped the service would be ok). While the food and ambience is good, the service has been pretty terrible, and I'd like to tell the owner how much money I have not spent on these 3 occasions because of their wait staff (things I would normally order, but did not in this case): bottled water, a couple of glasses of wine, a starter, a desert, possibly a cocktail after food. If nudged, I could easily have been convinced to try a more expensive dish. However, the waitress had a sour attitude every time, did not suggest any of the things above (it was not busy), and in fact flat out said No! when on separate occasions I asked for a rum and coke or a vodka orange juice. When in response I asked for the drinks menu, she rolled her eyes and only just about managed to get it for us. So ok, I've ordered the very minimum I could to basically avoid inconveniencing the waitress - seems like a good way to make money in a restaurant! Visit at your own peril... The octopus is...

Featured in the heart of Palmarejo lies here an interesting restaurant that has stood the test of time. It's not just a restaurant, it's a feeling. It leaves you with an intense meal experience. And let me add, that they have amazing wines too!

Take note that, in order to eat in, you need to reserve a table ahead of time. So do well to get thier contact and book your reservations now. I enjoyed my time there and I know that you definitely will.

Loverly ambience and great staff who spoke and understood English. Tried the octopus as a starter and the iberico secreto as a small main dish ( to try). Nice cocktails and wine, as well. If I stayed in Praia longer this restaurant would have seen me very often. When leaving the place the staff arranged a taxi with the security guard outside to make sure I came home safe. Thanks for your efforts to make me a great night out...
