Hotel Rotterdam — Hotel in Achada Santo António

This hotel has potential but does not achieve it. On the plus side, the internet is good (stronger than in Oasis and Pestana Tropico) and the facilities are functional and largely clean, including the AC. There is no elevator. The biggest disadvantage is the staff: reception is basically never staffed, neither is the restaurant. If you come for breakfast, the staff disappears and closes the door behind them to watch TV. Dishes and cups are not clean, and the food is days old and does not inspire confidence. My daughter received bedlinen with blood stains on it. Her mattress stand also had a big stain at the bottom. Very simple hotel with reasonable prices. The location was quiet and the bed was comfortable. The water pressure in the shower left a lot to be desired and you had to wait a long time for hot water. The breakfast was also very simple and only included the bare essentials. The staff didn't speak much English. At least the WiFi was fast and reliable. OK for one night, I wouldn't want to stay...

De foto's zijn erg misleidend! De eerste foto heeft niets met het hotel te maken. Dit hotel heeft geen 3 sterren!!. De kamers zijn schoon maar hebben een complete renovatie nodig. Deurposten kapot, vieze schuifdeuren in de douche. De medewerkers doen absoluut hun best. Het bed was prima maar de rust om te kunnen slapen was er niet. Het ontbijt was goed. Het ligt midden in een luidruchtige wijk. Als je daar van houdt zit je goed! Midden in de nacht worden de tafels en stoelen van het terras binnen geschoven.
