Nami Asian Restaurant — Restaurant in Sal

Just had dinner here this moment in fact im writing it now at the restaurant after finishing the dinner. Im quite dissapointed. Had crispy tuna temaki which is weird, filo pastry filled with raw tuna and soy sauce & honey and avocado, taste wise really confusing, its probably cape verdean invention of temaki. And we also had korean fried chicken which is not Korean, its more likely just marinated with soy sauce, honey, and vinegar and tomato sauce no gochujang at all -too salty, i suppose its very difficult to get that ingredients here. Fair enough but they shouldve named it to asian fried chicken not korean fried chicken, very misleading. I had fried rice for main, I think they tried to imitate indonesian nasi goreng, but all dish are just -again too salty and not authentic at all. I understand that they do their best and i just have high standard of quality when it comes to asian food as I am asian and unfortunately, I dissaprove the authenticy of the dishes. Definitely the best restaurant in Sal if you want to have an "experience" Completely different then the ordinary places you can find in the island. The food is extremely good,cooked with passion and professionality,the wines you can find on the wine list are really good and reasonable price. Speakin about this,when we went to pay we've been stoked that the bill was not more much then a common place in Santa maria,if you consider you are in a great location,the quality of the food and the kindness of the staff this place is absolutely...

My one star is not about the food, which my girlfriend and I were not able to taste. It is about the service. We waited 30 mins for a legendary manager who never showed up and had to decide if we could be admitted while I was wearing shorts.

I hope at least this is useful to someone. Ah… it’s a resort restaurant (there are probably 6 more in the same Tui resort) and you also need a reservation, otherwise they won’t seat you.

Basically a complete non-sense on an island where people are chilling...
