Old City — Restaurant in Santiago

Nice place next to the sea, but very poor service. We ordered 1) a mini ice cream: comes already melted and in pieces 2) a fresh orange juice: comes warm and 3) tuna patè: good. Then the bill comes and the mini ice cream was 2.90 € (not even in Europe, price not shown of course), the orange juice was 5€ (was written, but still high even for European standards), the tuna patè was 4.50€: fair price, but on the menu it was 3.50. not a big deal, but after pointing out the mistake they very aggressively insisted that the menu had to be updated and the new price was 4.50. it's just 1€, for them as much for me, but if the (I imagine honest) mistake is on your side, you should pay for it: it's called...

We had just returned from the fort so decided to eat in town. The place has a mixture of tourists and Cape Verdians home on vacation and is ideally located on the beach front. My son had a Marguerita, and I chose the Havaiana. Wrong choice. Perhaps their pizza oven wasn't hot enough, or perhaps it was because the pizza buns were smothered in cheese. It was worse than an American pizza, the base was uncooked, and the pizzas were dripping in oil from the cheese. My son managed half his pizza, but that was more than I could cope with. Had some lovely food here, unfortunately didn’t take many pictures but the bread, cheese and pate starter was really good ordered it 2x. - 9/10.
