Read moreStarfish point was about an hour from our condo but at the insistence of our friend who claimed that Pirates Grill has the best wings on the entire island, of course I will travel for that claim.
The ride is lovely just to be able to see different parts of the island and the homes on the way to the beach are absolutely beautiful. When we arrived, we were told that Pirates Grill, which is a strategically placed food barge in the water will not be visible and you need to walk two minutes down the beach to find it. We followed those directions and we were delightfully surprised that it was so easy to find and that there was a little club of people doing what we intended to do which was order food and swim in the shallow waters.
We ordered 12 wings with their signature sauce. Don’t ask me what’s in it because they wouldn’t tell and it doesn’t matter because I can attest that these were absolutely the BEST WINGS that we’ve had on the island.
Shoutout to the chef and the young lady serving us! We also ordered fries which were perfectly seasoned. Note that everything is served super fresh and made to order and you won’t be disappointed. Don’t forget to order a mudslide. I don’t usually drink those, but it was so perfectly refreshing and fun.
Fun fact: with the tarpon swimming all around the barge they’re like water puppies waiting to be fed so this is also a sustainable place where all your bones and leftover food get fed directly to the fish. This is a zero waste facility lol..
Enjoy the food stay for a quick swim !

Read moreOh man, I saw this floating grill and was excited. We were on the Mickey Mouse Charters Catamaran (that's a whole other story), with no food or drinks. Yup, way over a hundred USD and it was awful. Anyways, we wanted a beer, and waters/pop after 2 hours in the hot sun. We were at the Star Fish beach/island and approached the boat. The owner was so rude. I asked for a beer and he abruptly said Nope, I don't sell. He had one tropical drink and wanted 16 USD each. I said, oh wow, and he said, you can't get any drink in the Cayman Islands cheaper than that. That is a lie. You can get 5 dollar beers on the shoreline. This guy, the owner, had a restaurant that went out of business in less than a year. He pollutes the waters. He is a local who rips the tourists off. He only floats around selling chicken wings and one kind of tropical drink when he needs money. Please do not purchase from this man. He is breaking all sorts of laws. He is not humble at all. I would give him a zero, but I have to give a star to rate him. Stay clear of purchasing from him. He does not follow ANY health and...
