The Brixton — Restaurant in West Bay

Such a hidden gem! We stayed in the Caymans about a 3-minute walk from the restaurant. We began our tastes with the restaurant by having take-out of their desserts.... first two nights of their tiramisu, and then on the third night we added their chocolate mousse. WOW!! What an experience, even for take-out!! From the take-out experience of how the food was packed away to the amazing flavors!! Who would have thought that you could find authentic Italian food in the Caymans!!

For our second to last night on the island, we came to the restaurant for a dine-in experience. From the cocktails, staff giving extra attention to my 9-month old, flavorful appetizers / entrees and then cappuccino to accompany our desserts! This was such a satisfying meal for our entire group.

We had an amazing meal at Bella Trattoria! They’re newer and weren’t on Google, so it was just good luck we found them on a trip to the grocery store. They’re right next to the liquor store by Foster’s grocery store.

The food was excellent! Very fresh and flavorful, great portions. We had the mushroom risotto, lasagna, beef ravioli, and tagliatelle bolognese. Everything was excellent but I especially loved my tagliatelle; the pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was soooo full of flavor. Our toddler got the perfect pasta with tomato sauce and they helpfully swapped the spaghetti for penne. It was also excellent and we all snacked off it lol. The service was also very, very friendly and accommodating! All the staff were great and really enhanced the experience.

We went here for the 1st time while we visited West Bay. We are not bouchée looking people and dress down for many occasions.

From the moment we walked in, we were judged by the host. He looked us up and down and asked if we wanted to sit outside instead. Normally, I would leave but my party wanted to try this place so we did not make a deal of it.

We ordered the several appetizers and it seemed that is all they thought we would order. The calamari was ok, sauce tasted good, minestrone soup was excellent, burrata was good.

I ordered the lasagna and it was good, friend ordered the Parm chicken and that was pretty bad. Over and undercooked in a few areas. Overall, we would not recommend it since there are so many other great restaurants on the island. We...
