Restaurant Casona del 900 — Restaurant in La Serena

We had the menu for 2 people. It was really tasty and the vine was also good. You get enough meat for 2 people and the price is good. I had nearly no whait time for order and the food came in like 15 min. Some of the reviews tell that you have to wait for the bill. We waited only like 1 or 2 minutes. Also for ordering the bill, we had to call the waiter. It is not like they are looking all the time if you need something (like in the really noble restaurants), but they walk through pretty often. I think this is not that unusual and it was not bad out of my point of view. I would reccomend...

In general, this was a lovely restaurant: nice ambience, good food. That was until they overcharged us, twice. We ordered two fish dishes and they attempted to charge us for a more expensive fish (as tourists we are not familiar with either, so ate what we were served). We queried the price and they only reduced one. We also asked for a side to share, and they charged us for two portions. It never feels good to be taken advantage of when you are a tourist...

Llegamos recomendados por un comerciante oriundo de la zona. Estacionamiento interior propio, bien! Luego la casona es fabulosa, ambientada en los años 1900 con un museo alrededor de las mesas, sobrio. La atención de la chica que nos atendió muy muy amable. Nos trajeron pancito caliente de entrada, pero echamos de menos las sopaipillas y las churrascas de donde "El Guatón..." Luego pedimos plateada con acompañamientos. La plateada llegó en su paila de greda sumergida en un caldo fabuloso, comprobamos primero que nada si se deshacía con cuchara, y si... Nada que decir. El silencio absoluto reinando con el puré picante ñaaaam ñam ñam. En término económicos 10mil pesos plateada y puré. 100%...
