I honestly do not know what people expect from places if this is a 4.3 bar for them.
I've had not so good experiences on this trip, but La Providencia was definitely not one of them.
The place has a fantastic atmosphere, all staff is really friendly, they all make you feel good and welcome. Kudos to bartenders, they are amazing and they do not hesitate to give you recommendations.
Cocktails are really good, the stars for me were Gin Butterfly and Pichunchillo, both tasty and creative.
Truffle fries are tasty and crispy.
I 100% recommend this place, of course it gets packed and you have to wait if you go on prime time, but that's a staple of their quality.

Read moreMy first impression is good. It's cozy, warm, and with good lighting. However, the waiter, a guy with a Caribbean accent, was rude to me. The waiter insulted me on my way out after refusing to leave a tip, which is clearly out of line. The crab roll I ordered was greasy and cold. The espumante wasn't cold and served in a wine glass, the beer schop Glass I ordered was three-quarters filled. Instead of the 550 cc, they sell for 6900 pesos, which is more than 480 cc at best.
In summary, it's a Nice place with terrible service, rude staff, and extremely overpriced food....
