I'm ecstatic that I found this place again on gmaps from my home in california, taking a trip down memory road on google maps visting my old neighborhood. I lived off of Andingmen Road on Cheniandian Hutong in the summer of 2007. Not knowing anyone when I moved there, I wandered the hutongs looking for interesting sights and people. I stumbled into this place because there was a table of folks strumming a guitar and drinking. They invited me over to the table and soon I found my friends for the summer. What's better was that these people owned the joint! This bar attracts a creative crowd. I was soon surrounded by musicians, artists, fashion designers, and all kinds of offbeat, decidedly non-mainstream people. I was still getting my wits about me in Mandarin, but this was an amazing place to hang and relax and have a good conversation. Overwhelmingly my favorite place in Beijing.
