Service wasn’t good. Food was mediocre. Wait staff are a bit rude. We arrived 1120am with no reservation on a Sunday. Place was empty. They warned us we had to leave by 1pm because we had no reservation. Waiter tried to upsell us pushing extra food and drinks. Ordered the fried rice, egg rolls, lemongrass chicken. Food looked nice but didn’t have much flavor. Fish sauce tasted watered down. The egg rolls didn’t come with the traditional lettuce and fresh herbs for wrapping, but instead a small garnish to represent that. Vietnamese ice coffee was weak. Rice was oily. Supposed to have salted egg but we couldn’t see it or taste it. Chicken didn’t have much flavor. The main dish arrived way late after we had eaten the rice and egg rolls. We had to ask about it. I’m admittedly a bit picky and used to excellent Vietnamese food in Orange County California.

I wish I would have read the review that it is infuriatingly difficult to find, because it definitely is. It is also definitely worth the trouble. It is also a bit fin in itself to find the place because it is so hard to find actual secret places in today's world. Tip: look at all the pictures to help find the door.
Everything about this place was great. It is a renovated hutong with a cool outdoor patio. It has a cozy and warm atmosphere, and is beautiful inside.
