Regularly voted Beijing's best student bar since it's based in the heartland of Beijing's universities. It is a little taste of home for foreign students studying abroad in China. I think most newbies to Beijing make most of their expat friends here. It is a great place to network and meet people thanks to all the social nights Lush hosts, including Karaoke, Trivia, Open Mic, Live Gigs etc. All nationalities gather here. The younger Chinese studying nearby hang here and enjoy Karaoke very much. Expats typically come from Denmark, America, Canada, Italy, Germany, Australia, Belgium, Serbia, France, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Russia, Ireland and the UK. They have some of the better servers as well who understand what good customer service is. If there is an issue they will endeavour to correct it, without charge, which you might struggle to find at other bars. It does help though that the owner is from New Zealand, and the staff are trained to deal with the expectations of their largely foreign clientele.

Great place. Perfect cozy ambience. Music nights are fun. Happy hour is perfect time to overload with beer. The food is pretty good. I particularly liked their salads, burgers and wraps. There are many combo options. Great variety and fresh. Quite an international place. Lots of expats around.
