Situated on the edge of the scenic Liwan Lake Park, the entrance is easy to miss because it looks like an entrance to the park. This place is rated 4.5 off 17000+ reviews on Dianping (the Chinese review app), and its easy to see why.
There's waterside seating on the lower floor with views of red lanterns and traditional walkways across the lake, all lit up at night. We chose indoor seating though to avoid any possible mosquitos.
We ordered their speciality dish - the Braised Pigeon, as well as Fried Fish Fillet and the Eel Fried Rice.
Everything was excellent. Well seasoned pigeon was crispy and boiling hot from the flash frying. Never did "Intagible Cultural Heritage Technology" taste so good. Eat with your hands! Gloves are provided.
The fish fillet was wonderfully silky inside and flakey outside - the coating is similar to the ones you get at Yum Cha for fried taro dumplings. Fried rice was well flavoured, fluffy, and filled with elastic eel.

Read moreA wonderful place to have your morning dimsum. That particular morning we were given 2 juicy rabbits on the house. The food is very up to standard and doesn't disappoint. There is these bbq "pigeons" that's only available after 11am. It's yummy.
My only gripe with this place is the toilet can only be used 1 person at a time(upstairs) . Imagine if you really have to go and the person inside is taking his own...
