For people who haven’t tried PizzaExpress, I’d recommend you go to other shops for your first time. As a frequent PizzaExpress customer, I had high hopes when I tried this shop for this first time. However, I was severely and sorely disappointed in what I received at PizzaExpress GO PARK. The experience here was not at all similar to the high standards of other shops and quite frankly, a disgrace to PizzaExpress. First of all, let’s talk about the only thing they did right compared to the other shops. The pizza and chicken wings were as spectacular as usual. However, I saw that my Peking Duck Pizza was noticeably about 3-4 cm smaller in diameter than usual. The food here has quite heavy seasoning, so you find yourself needing water quite frequently. However, it is unimaginable that the water in PizzaExpress would be served in PAPER CUPS, in contrast to the glass cups they usually give you at PizzaExpress restaurants. Not to mention the menu had less variety than most shops as well, with dishes like the Chocolate Lava Cake nowhere to be found. The staff there also didn’t let me use any of my PizzaExpress Club coupons. Some of them did mention that it was not applicable to HKU and GO PARK shops, but the one I had wished to use didn’t have any terms and conditions, and they still rejected it nonetheless. The lemon tea here didn’t have refills like the other shops do as well, which makes the price of one single glass of lemon tea quite absurd at $36. As a regular who’s been to PizzaExpress’ shops at Causeway Bay, Exhibition Centre, Tsim Sha Tsui, Tai Kok Tsui, Tsing Yi, Sai Ying Pun (Closed), Central (Closed), the experience at this shop was by far the worst I’ve ever received at a PizzaExpress, and an absolute disappointment to the PizzaExpress brand name. If you don’t intend to make the shop your best, or at least even remotely up to standard, I’d rather you never have opened this shop instead. Or perhaps the name should be changed to, for instance, PizzaExpress Mini, since the shop is not at all comparable to the other normal PizzaExpress shops. Next time, I think I’ll be visiting the normal...
