Dunya Restaurant and Bar — Restaurant in Lhasa

The Dunya Restaurant and Bar is located in Lhasa, Tibet and is in my opinion, the best place for a person to relax, enjoy a meal, meet new people and upstairs, enjoy an evening of cocktails with friends [both old and new].

Over the years of visiting Lhasa (2006-20) and over 30 trips to Tibet, my expectations has always been met with warm, wonderful service, great menu of food and a few lifelong friendships were made. I highly recommend anyone visiting Lhasa to stop in The Dunya ... and experience ... The World.

The word DUNYA means •World• in 22 different languages. You’ll never know unless you Go. Visit Tibet before it is gone, forever and while there in Lhasa, go to The Dunya, often.

Google's mapping is wrong. Its about 750m west of where goooge sent us. It is on beijing rd, at cemenlin 1st alley. Great place if you're looking for something familiar. The menu leans western with some veg options. It's pricier than most local fare but if you're reading this you know it's handy to have an english menu. Food isn't amazing but...

Nepalese, Tibetan, Western food are available. Not very local feels but kind of International as u may see people from different countries. Food is quite nice tho, we had Tibetan and Nepalese instead of Chinese or Western. The slices one is actually the beef tongue which is very soft and tender, the other was like Indian food back...
