We had lunch for four. Crepes & Waffles is one of the oldest and most delicious food franchises in Medellín. It offers a great variety of courses: breakfast, brunch, soups, salads, lunch, dinner, desserts, coffee and kids' menu. I ordered a covarachía soup, where tomato, corn, and plantain highlight the values of the Colombian flavors. The soup is prepared with cilantro, avocado, and sour cream and it's adorned with crispy fried plantains. The main course was Mar Encocado, which is a seafood crepe with octopus, shrimp, clamps, and tiger shrimps all in black quinua [quinoa] sautéed in coconut sauce and crispy coconut. Believe it or not there was room dessert:baby doll. Babydoll is ice cream wrapped in a waffle and slices of banana bathed in chocolate. The restaurant has one of the coolest views. If you are seated on the balcony you will be in front of the local airport Olaya Herrera's runways. You can actually see small planes landing about every minute or two. Mother ordered jugo de mango, (mango juice) as a good Barranquilla native and I went green with a spearmint lemonade. My wife ordered Pollo Trufa Mexicano with...

I politely asked if we could be seated elsewhere to have a drink while waiting for our table, but this was refused. I was told we would have to stand outside and would not be allowed to move to the balcony once a table became available.
This felt like poor customer service, especially considering that most restaurants offer guests the option to wait at the bar or another seating area. The lack of attention to such basic hospitality details left a disappointing impression.
In the end, we chose to dine at a nearby restaurant that offered the same view—but with much...
Read moreCame here on a busy Sunday night and took a while to get our order through. I thought this place was just a dessert place but they have an extensive menu. Lots of savory and sweet crepes for your offering and I choose the Mexican Rosarito crepes and my partner chose camarones crepes. Her had great flavor while mine was under flavored. I generally prefer crispy crepe but our were drenched in sauce making the crepe soggy. Every time I’ve passed a Crepes and waffles they are always busy and I can understand why, it’s like the Cheesecake...
