A very nice place with kind and helpful staff. It is about half way between SJ and La Fontana. Take a break from driving the curvy-loopy highway, and stop by for a coffee, as I did. Only a couple of hundred meters off of the highway, The little road was easily negotiable even with my compact rental. My espresso was excellent, but they also have various lunch/dinner entrees - I didn't try any. The view is beautiful from the patio. I may not drive this highway again (life is short and so many places to visit), but if I do, I will stop again 😃.

5 stars aren't enough for this place. Definitely deserves more. Went there for coffee. Had cappuccinos, which l normally don't drink, but l had too try it after the owner Jose let us smell the different coffee beans. We both really really enjoyed them!!! Also had the Carrot Cake. Amazing. Then had an Espresso, which l haven't had in about 15 years, and l didn't like them back them. But, these were fantastic!! I will definitely be going back.

We randomly stopped here to stretch our legs after a long drive and were very pleasantly surprised - excellent coffee and service. We ordered the hamburger and chicken wrap (delicious!) and the owner even gave us an explanation of how the specialty coffee is made. He picked a few beans for us from his own plants. And the views were amazing!! You’re literally in the clouds!

This place is special! We stopped based on google reviews and were blown away. It's a family run place, and the husband/wife team welcomed us in. They spoke to us and explained everything to us with such kindness. There is an amazing view and birds that come by. If you come in the afternoon Toucans can be seen from the terrace. The cappuccinos that my husband and brother-in law had were one of the best they've ever had. And my sister got a whipped ice coffee without sugar - she said it was so smooth and didn't need sugar at all. The food was so delicious and carefully prepared - they made their own mayo and you could tell the difference! they also grow their own vegetables organically. An absolute gem. I wish we lived closer because we would come back for sure. They sell coffee bags too and can arrange coffee tours from the farm...

One of our best stops in Costa Rica! Our family of 7 was driving thru the town on a long haul from the coast to the mountains and happened to see the sign for the cafe and and we are so glad we stopped! I feel like we found a hidden gem. This cafe has the most beautiful and serene setting overlooking the mountains. It was so peaceful and beautiful. We sampled every cake and each one was scrumptious and made in-house. The coffees were so yummy. We didn't order actual food but it looked and smelled heavenly. The owner and staff were so friendly and they even brought our kiddos binoculars to look out at the view and gave them a mini tour of the grounds. The owner brought coffee samples for my husband to try and grounds to smell and taught him about coffee in Costa Rica. This place is something special and we HIGHLY...
