Pizzería La Finca — Restaurant in Atenas

Decent pizza, great beer selection, questionable service. This was the only place in three weeks of being in Costa Rica where we didn't receive good service. No one greeted us after standing around for a few minutes, although two people made eye contact, so we grabbed a table. The waiter took the order of a table near us, then went to the back. We grabbed menus. Eventually, someone came over to get our drink orders, and they were brought over quickly, then we ordered. The food came out pretty quickly- we had three small pizzas: Supreme, chicken BBQ and Puttanesca. All were pretty good- thin crust with good quality toppings. We ran out of drinks soon after, but our waiter was watching tv, and talking to other workers, just keeping his back to us at all costs, so we gave up on him. La Finca is one of several artesanal pizza restaurants in Atenas. I would rate this as the best, not that the others are not really good. What makes La Finca stand out is its consistency of food and service. The pizza is thin crust baked in a beautiful wood fired pizza oven. They brought a pizza oven craftsman from Italy to build the oven. La Finca is serious about their pizza.They also have a wide range of other items including very excellent steaks and Buddha bowls... you cannot go wrong eating at this great...

My husband and I dined here for the first time, and we really enjoyed our food. We ordered a vegetarian pizza and the La Finca Salad.

The pizza was excellent - thin crust, fresh veggies, and really tasty. The salad was also really good due to the freshness of the veggies.

The ambiance is great. If you sit at one of the tables adjacent to the windows, you get a view of the stream. This is a really cute restaurant.

We will certainly dine here...
