Restaurante la Palapa — Restaurant in Bahía Ballena

I had the pleasure of dining here twice. The food was surprising in texture and flavor. The Lomito en salsa de trufa came with sweet potato and vegetables, I wish I could eat this weekly. The Summer de aguacate I had both times and I've never had anything like it before. The ceviche exotico comes with patacones, fresh and tasty I was sad I couldn't take finish it from being so full. Because there was no dairy free options for dessert I was beyond impressed, surprised, blown away when Bernardo came to our table and asked if he could create a dessert for us. I do believe my jaw dropped when he made it tableside and at one point there was liquid fire flowing. All while continuing to manage the restaurant. I don't know the name of his creation and again I've never had anything like it before in texture or flavor. The hospitality of the staff is the kind that remembers the drink you ordered the day before and offers to bring it right as you sit down. They also remember what appetizer you had and ask if you would like to start with it to which you gladly say yes please. They did it so smoothly I didn't catch that they had done that till...

This was my third time to this fine restaurant. I have a very coeliac family member who was so excited to even be able to touch the menus without worrying about washing her hands afterwards or getting sick. Last night my son chose to come here for his birthday dinner because he is also gluten intolerant. From start to finish the experience was amazing. We were greeted warmly, and Bernardo took very good care of us at the table and the chef and team in the kitchen made us an amazing meal and a special birthday treat. We will continue to return and recommend it to others....

Gluten free gourmet international cuisine right here in Uvita/Dominical. The restaurant is located at Cuna del Angel hotel on the main highway. Nice view and ambiance, very romantic. My favorites are the beef tenderloin with porcini mushrooms, chicken Florentine and the gluten...
