Went once a year ago! Pretty good food, average service.

Went recently and got a wrap that was 99% spinach and kale and 1% the rest of the ingredients (the menu item was not untrue, just EXTREMELY misleading). Talked to the manager about it and basically told me to take it or leave it (clearly not a very knowledgable person in customer service). Elevated the concern to the owner as a matter of sympathy, given that I am a business man myself. The rest of the dynamic was illustrative of the little authority the owner has over his manager. I waited about 15 minutes for the manager to basically tell me to eat it or buy another dish… a true visionary. This manager is going places, good for him haha.

Seems like I’m not the only one that has had de displeasure of interacting with this person. I attached some older reviews. Probably the owner is too afraid to...

Loved this place. I went to Costa Rica the second week of June....in the middle of rainy season. BUT luckily most days in Santa Teresa were beautiful, sunny, and dry most of time. I rented a bicycle and rode from my hotel to Cafe Social looking for something light, healthy and tasty. They hit the mark with this beautiful array of arugula lettuce, roasted zucchini slices, sunflower seeds, berry vinaigrette with chicken, maybe some citrus fruit that I can’t remember, parmesan flakes, almonds, and a side of yummy tico cheese. So delicious and fresh. The people were so accommodating to the substitutes that I requested for the salad AND the custom berry coconut smoothie. Cozy, clean line, hipster vibey kind of feel with tall windows, WiFi and outside patio...

A Gem in Santa Teresa ! We've been visiting Cafe Social for several years now, and it remains unbeatable despite the many options available in town. The quality here is simply exceptional. Their Pochi (poached eggs with caramelized onions and avocado) is unmatched—I haven’t found anything remotely as good anywhere else. And their banana bread? Pure perfection. Every bite is a delight! The coffee variations and smoothies are just as outstanding, bursting with flavor and made with top-notch ingredients. You can tell the owners truly understand what great food should be.

If you're in Santa Teresa, don't miss this place. It's a must-visit, time...

Café Social was my go-to breakfast/lunch spot. My favorite part of the cafe was the manager, who always took my order. Andres said he could tell when I was walking up because it always smelled like Tutti Frutti (this was the smoothie I always drank). He would also make great suggestions for things I should try or little tips like adding sriracha aioli to the tofu scramble. The architecture is modern and clean and the music playing in the background is #chillvibes. Some of the food I enjoyed was the Ready to Rumble (ask for a side of chipotle aioli), Go Nuts French Toast, Grilled Cheese Wrap, and the BLT-A.

Café Social is an absolute gem! Whether you’re in the mood for bold Caribbean flavors or a classic done right, this place delivers. Their Caribbean chicken is hands-down the best I’ve had—tender, perfectly seasoned, and packed with flavor. And the BLT? Easily the best in Costa Rica. Crispy, fresh, and so satisfying. We also had the tacos, which are delicious- especially that they make their taco shells right before. The vibe is warm and welcoming, making it the kind of place you’ll want to keep coming back to. A true local favorite and totally worth the visit!
