a'lo Nico — Restaurant in Cabo Velas

Great experience here at a'lo Nico! And great prices. They have a kid toy area for the little kids and they brought a water bowl for our dog. The service was awesome. Although remember the slower pace of the country and don't rush. The seating is in an open air building with fans so it can feel a little warm and humid just be aware of this. The food was all delicious. The coffee was great. Smoothie was excellent. Fresh juice was so so good, definitely loved the freshness. The Gallo pinto had tons of flavor. I enjoyed the pinto vaquero with bacon, avocado, eggs, and plantains, all the flavors work very well together. My daughter raved about the veggie and cheese omelet and ate the whole thing! Cooked eggs exactly as ordered. Would highly recommend and go back...

Great spot for breakfast and lunch. we went there twice, had to have it one more time before we left Costa Rica. We were running late for a departing flight, but we were able to call the restaurant and place our order and they had it ready by the time we got there. Service was very friendly, the proprietors, husband and wife, are very nice. They were busy on the 1st day we got there, and so parking was limited, but Nico moved his car so that we could park right in front, but there is plenty of parking on the street along the main road. Their Casados were very good, as was their fish. I liked their crepes, but everyone raved about the fries. We didn't get a chance to try everything on the menu but hopefully we will return...

I can honestly say that this little restaurant is a gem! The food was extremely delicious, portion sizes were big, the prices were a lot less than in the center of Playa Flamingo. There wasn't one thing that wasn't good on the menu. Everything was amazing including their fresh smoothies. Thank you Andrea and Nico for making us feel super welcome in your restaurant and in Costa Rica. A special thank you for giving us the option to eat lunch for breakfast! Your warm and genuine atmosphere and generosity is really noticable and we appreciate it a lot. We will see you one day again. All the best...
