100% recommend if you are staying in Playa Grande! Food/Drinks: We ordered the flauta appetizer and the street tacos - all very good & the best tacos we had during our stay! (Had the beef, pork al pastor and chile verde). Their homemade sauce with the chili peppers they home-grow in the back was delicious - the right amount of sweet and spicy 🔥 Service: Great service!! Extremely welcoming and friendly. Atmosphere: Being fairly new, this place is very clean and the set up is very cool! Much more space than we thought under a hut-type vibe. Convenience: We didn’t stay here, but it has a really nice pool set up outside + a little market next to it that has all the basic needs!

Biggest disappointment in Costa Rica by far! Avoid the place unless you want to try worst veggie tacos and worst pina colada in the country by far! The only good thing I had was bottled beer - imperial - this one was just fine 🤣🤣! Anything else was a nightmare: veggie tacos missing any flavour at all — although tasted fresh, pina colada - without any taste at all (it looks like ice with a bit of pineapple-just the worst I tasted in Costa Rica so far - and in each restaurant I try pina colada if served) - I left it hardly touched as I was unable to drink it all. Such a pity as this restaurant had somehow high ratings…maybe I was not lucky at all…

What a great find! We were referred to this place by some local Costa Ricans who told us this was the best piña colada in Playa Grande, and it did not disappoint! Ernesto was a fantastic, friendly, and attentive host. The spicy pork nachos were surprisingly delicious… we couldn’t get enough. Also recommend the fish tacos. And the homemade pineapple-chili hot sauce was incredible, we even bought a bottle to bring home. Beautiful outdoor patio for dining and meeting other guests. We wish we were staying longer, we could eat here every night! Highly recommend.

I wish there were more than 5 stars for this restaurant. Simply put, AMAZING. The people working there were so nice and super nice. The food was fabulous. They even made us special dishes that were not on the menu. We had planned on visiting others restaurants while on our trip to Costa Rica but we loved this place so much, we ate at Malinches Street Tacos when eating out. They have a great variety of food. Not just tacos. We met the owner, who was super nice, and he educated us about Costa Rica and the area. After a week, we felt like we had experienced so many authentic Costa Rican dishes and drinks. We are truly planning to go back to Playa Grande because of this place. We made great friends and had some of the best food we've ever had. If in Playa Granda, this is a must go to restaurant. Small, quaint, and...

This restaurant is one of few available in the location but it's worth travelling further away for something else. Food took a long time to arrive, which would be forgiveable if the dishes served were excellent. They were not. Despite 2 of our party receiving the wrong order, the chicken was beyond dry and the pork and beef tacos we're not amazing. I'm surprised no other reviews have mentioned prices. Two orders of chips and guacamole was around $12-14 and wasn't even close to enough for a party of 8. Fries are $6 a portion and are, what I would call, barely sufficient for a single person, let alone sharing two orders for the table. All in all expect to spend a lot of money for...

Visited the area for 4 nights. We went to Malinches Street tacos for the last 3 (plus one breakfast) because it was so amazing. Ernesto, the evening waiter/bartender extraordinaire, is the best. He made me a custom cocktail that knocked my socks off. I had two each time i went 🤪. The owner of the space has turned it into a hangout for the locals in the area and his two rescue dogs who are cute as can be, roam the tables politely asking for pets and some food. All those perks aside, the food is reason enough to check this place out. The chips are fried to order and the flautas are hand rolled and fried on the spot. Guacamole 10/10. Wish we could live at this...
