La Galería Slow Food — Restaurant in Heredia

“Best food I had in Costa Rica” was a phrase I read a lot when looking for restaurants during our two week trip. Whenever we followed these recommendations, however, we could never say the same.

Enter La Galeria Slow Food. We finally had our best food in Costa Rica right the end of our trip. We even returned here for a second time the next day.

We liked the ceviches best (you must try the Pejibaye ceviche for a completely new taste). The fruit mocktails have a very refined taste. By the end we were so full that we opted to take a brownie for takeway, which was also splendid.

Great place. Clean, well-lit, in control of all aspects of its aesthetic atmosphere, from the flavors and lighting to the hip, low-key music. In keeping with the art gallery theme of La Galería, the 9 different hamburger offerings are all named after artistic movements, like "la surrealista." Es una opción diferente a lo habitual, las hamburguesas son muy buenas y utilizan otro tipo de acompañamientos, como tiras de camote en vez de papas lo que lo hace curioso.

En el menú se pueden apreciar varios tipos de hamburguesas si tiene 5 rojos que le sobren en este lugar se puede mandar una buena comida y quedar bien satisfecho, también venden birras nacionales y artesanales a precios normales de mercado.

El lugar es acogedor y bastante tranquilo, con música tipo indie o jazz lo que lo convierte en un lugar donde se puede conversar de cualquier tipo de temas, además que tiene una variedad de bebidas interesantes que uno nunca ha visto en su vida y que son combinaciones locas con un buen sabor además de variedad de acompañamientos y de entradas.

En conclusión es un buen lugar para pasar el rato, si tenés el dinero ya que si tiende a tener precios un poco elevados además de que está ubicado en un lugar donde hay uno que otro indigente, pero no es nada grave, no por eso se debe desperdiciar la oportunidad de ir y aceptan tarjeta, otro punto positivo para visitar este lindo local ya sea solo...
