This place was not for us; I read many great reviews about this restaurant so we thought we'd experience a more traditional Tico version of sunset dinner and drinks. The beer was cold and the sunset was amazing! The food was easily the worst we've had during 3 months staying in Jaco, which is quite the accomplishment! It was just very basic and not very well presented. My chicken fajitas consisted of 3 dry soft taco shells and a few slices of chicken mixed into some fried onions and lettuce. My wife ordered fish tacos and they were some kind of deep fried disaster served with french fries, no greens for her. I give bonus points for the guy puking right beside our table on the roadway, which isnt their fault but adds to the drunken dive bar feel. And the disgusting restrooms, I made my kids pee between parked cars instead! However, the staff were very pleasant. I haven't been to this beach since January 2022 and it seemed way busier and dirtier this visit. Definitely some negative energy going on for a Sunday night. I know it's a family run business and I didn't visit expecting white table cloths but I have had WAY better typical soda food all over Costa Rica. Absolutely the worst service you could imagine. He came back multiple times to ask questions about a simple order, no special requests, and got everything wrong. The guacamole was warm. A few things were missing. We still don’t know if a drink had alcohol or not, one said yes and the other no. Avoid it. Thought I should update this. Threw up. We were down in Costa Rica in January 2018. So glad we found this Local Restaurant & Bar. Food & Drinks were outstanding. My husband went fishing and they cooked us up the best fish dinner I have ever tasted with our days catch. All the bartenders were so friendly that we returned almost every night for a night cap.
