I almost hesitate to write this review out of fear that Zaika will become so popular I won’t be able to get a table next time — but this experience deserves to be shared. My brother and I stumbled upon this hidden gem tucked into a quiet strip mall near our hotel, and we were absolutely blown away. I’ve traveled the world and eaten Indian cuisine everywhere from London to Los Angeles, where Michelin-starred restaurants are easy to find, and I can honestly say Zaika is the best I’ve ever had. Bold statement, I know — I once believed the UK had perfected Indian food — but Zaika has officially taken the crown. Everything was exceptional. The food tasted fresh and vibrant, as though the kitchen had prepared every dish just for us. We ordered Chicken Vindaloo (extra spicy), Chicken Tikka Masala, Garlic Naan, and a house salad. The chicken was unbelievably tender — possibly the best I’ve ever tasted — and the spices were perfectly balanced, bold but not overwhelming. The service was equally outstanding: warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Every detail made the meal feel special. If you visit and don’t walk away amazed, I’d recommend heading straight to the hospital — because something must be wrong with your taste buds! Zaika isn’t just a meal, it’s an experience — and one I’ll be coming back for again and again.

Ended up going to this place twice because the food and service were very decent. Indian food in Costa Rica is quite a rarity and this place does justice to the cuisine. For those who are used to very spicy food, you may find the karahi to be a little on the sweeter side. I recommend the tandoori mixed grill with coconut naans. Do try the spicy lassi, serves as raita ;) the gulab jamin and gajar ka halwa were served nice and warm and were absolutely delicious. You can definitely taste the khoya in the gajar ka halwa. Plenty of parking - this place is in a commercial plaza. Both times, we were satisfied to the brim. Since Indian food is a rarity in Costa Rica, the price $120 (CAD) is justified. Would be very expensive for the same meal back in Canada!

We went here first a year ago on our last night in CR before flying back. My family had not had Indian food a lot. The owner served us and was very friendly and suggested some dishes. Everything was delicious, the naan bread so good. We all loved it. Even my kids 7 and 9 at the time. Tonight we returned a year later and again loved it. Everything was again super tasty. I would highly recommend this place. The same guy served us again. He said he moved to CR from India 3 years ago and we let him know the entire family loved his food. Try this place, it’s great. We loved the korma, butter chicken and mutton vindaloo!

I had the pleasure of dining at Zaika Restaurant in Costa Rica recently, and it was truly a delightful experience. We ordered a variety of dishes, including the veg, paneer, and Indo Chinese platters, and each one exceeded our expectations.

Chef Ramlal, Ravindra, and Jenny deserve special recognition for their outstanding culinary skills. They went above and beyond to make us feel like we were enjoying a home-cooked meal, even though we were far from home.

The flavors in every dish were exquisite, and the presentation was impeccable. The attention to detail and the use of fresh ingredients were evident in every bite. It's clear that the chefs are passionate about what they do, and it reflects in the quality of the food.

The ambiance of the restaurant was also warm and inviting, making it a perfect place for a relaxing meal. The staff were attentive and friendly, further enhancing our dining experience.

In summary, Zaika Restaurant in Costa Rica is a hidden gem that should not be missed. Whether you're a fan of vegetarian cuisine or Indo Chinese flavors, you'll find something to love here. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. Thank you, Chef Ramlal, Ravindra, and the entire team, for a memorable meal that felt like home...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at an Indian restaurant in Costa Rica, and it was a delightful culinary journey! The moment I stepped in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that exuded the essence of India. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, offering excellent recommendations.

The highlight of the experience was undoubtedly the food. Each dish was a masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with authentic Indian flavors. From the fragrant curries to the perfectly cooked tandoori dishes, every bite was a delight. I especially loved the rich and creamy dal makhani and the flavorful chicken tikka masala.

The restaurant's attention to detail was impressive, from the quality of ingredients to the careful balance of spices in each dish. The combination of traditional Indian recipes with a touch of local flair made the dining experience truly unique.

If you find yourself in Costa Rica and crave an exquisite taste of India, this restaurant is a gem that you should not miss. It's a perfect blend of flavors, hospitality, and ambiance, leaving you with a memorable and satisfying dining experience. Highly...
