My wife and I stopped by on our way back to Playa Flamingo and then again today on our way to the airport. Yesterday we had iced coffees and a chocolate chip cookie and a chocolate pastry that I mistakenly called a chocosaur. Today I got the Fiambres sandwich and cacao healthy smoothie and my wife had the pavo provolone. Everything was fantastic. It’s 5 mins from the airport and 5 mins from most of the rental car offices. Highly recommended if you are staying in Liberia or if you are passing by on your way through Liberia or even as a stop to get a sandwich before you return your car and head to the airport. Read moreHere’s a find. Tucked into a light industrial mall is an airy, friendly and most importantly delicious coffee shop with a broad selection of sandwiches, smoothies and, of course, coffees. The breads - i was not expecting bagels and sourdough this good - are fresh, and if not baked in-house, were certainly baked this morning. Sprouted greens; lox; cream cheese and prosciutto. If you’re staying at the Hilton Garden Inn this is an easy 5 minute walk. They also sell a selection of their own roasted coffee, both beans and ground. Average price, hot, fairly complex with fruity notes, just not my favourite (hands down the honey-processed geisha varietal by Sloffee Coffee in La Fortuna, Arenal). I passed on a pastry as they wanted c3500 for ONE PLAIN croissant (most other places I visited wanted c1500-1900 for a plain or even a chocolate croissant. Free wifi, nice open breezy space with comfortable seating. A well-varied menu that oddly enough was nearly identical in offerings and format to Meztli Coffee, a 5 min walk away. Didn't notice...
