I am not exaggerating when I say this may be the best eggplant parmesan I've ever had. I'm vegetarian so often this is my go to dish at Italian restaurants but they can seem like an afterthought. But not here. It is creamy and sauced well. The dish is a sizable portion and comes with a little side salad. As is often the case in CR, even pricier establishments might not always have good food. La Trattoria Italiana is absolutely delicious! The food portions are generous, the food is fresh and beautifully presented and the flavors are varying and tasty! They offer happy hour specials from 4-7pm and occasionally offer live music. The service is very friendly and prompt and the prices very fair. Great Outdoor Atmosphere! The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating for our child. I ordered the Mixed Seafood Ceviche for a starter and Red Snapper with Shrimp for the main course. Everything was plated beautifully and tasted even better. It was only my second time having Ceviche but it was the best I have had yet! Definitely a fan. The sauce on the Red Snapper and Shrimp was delicious....
