Ceviche to go — Local services in Pozos

I stopped by Ceviche To Go after reading a lot of good reviews, especially about their ceviche and fish tacos.

I ordered a small ceviche, two fish tacos, and two shrimp tacos. The ceviche is made fresh right in front of you with fish and shrimp, then mixed with lemon juice. I asked for extra lemon since I like a stronger flavor, and they gladly added it. It comes with either plantain chips or bagged chips — I went for the plantains. They also give you a homemade spicy sauce that’s tasty and has a nice kick without being too hot.

The small ceviche portion was actually quite generous and very fresh. By the time my tacos were ready, I was already a bit full. The tacos had a nice portion of fish or about four medium-sized shrimp each, plus a repollo (cabbage) salad. They were good, but not outstanding — freshly fried, though I could tell the oil had been used for a while.

Prices are a little on the higher side, but the two ladies working there were super nice and welcoming, which made the visit enjoyable.

Overall, it’s a solid place. For me, it felt more like 3.5 stars, but I rounded up to 4 stars for the friendly service and freshness...
