I recommend the restaurant Tamarine with the swimming pool view as well as the amazing service and food.
The Savanero is a Shocking place, the reviews were so true. We were sat there for hours. They just were expecting us to get ourselves the water in the table. We asked for a San Pellegrino water, they brought the bottle and gave it to my hands with not glass nor ice we had to ask twice for a glass. The steak was completely wrong mediums were well done and well done were over cook. "A steak house that doesnt do steaks" Do not order Parmesan, Truffle oil, its Costa Rica they don't have Truffle oil or Parmesan, chips were soggy and the sunflower oil was the only over and over oil on top of the chips. Now, when we pay they didn't bring the change to us hahaha they even had the courage of actually stealing it like that. We walked to the guy asking for the change and he was actually acting surprised and keeping some of it like a normal thing. I wrote down his name to report him. Just a remind Costa Rica table service is already added into the bill, any extra must it is up to you not the restaurant. On April 15, 2023, I took a client out to dinner at the Pimento Italian restaurant at the JW Marriott Guanacaste. I paid for the dinner and my client left cash for extra tip/gratuity. I used a credit card for the dinner and signed the receipt. The server added extra gratuity without our authorization by writing in an extra trip for himself. We are outraged and will not be coming back to this establishment. We hope that this establishment will train its employees not to write in an extra tip for themselves and essentially engage in theft. I had called previously to ask about gluten free options and was assured that there would be nothing to worry about. Everything that they told me would be gluten free had gluten in it. They served me ice cream on top of cake, where the chef told me it’s gluten free when it was not. They have no understanding of allergies or feel the need to be responsible when serving to somebody who has an allergy. The food was awful, the service was awful and I feel like for a bill over 200$ that it is the worst restaurant experience I ever had in my life.
