Río Bar y Restaurante — Restaurant in Turrialba

My wife and I were staying in a nearby town aquiares and our host recommended that we try this restaurant. Well needless to say with my 5 stars it was excellent, I had the pizza which is cooked in a dome oven the meats were great, not your normal deli style you get from other pizza restaurants. My wife enjoyed the churaso which ended up being a beautifully cooked new York strip with grilled pineapple veggies and a potato, she was happy. Not the cheapest place in town but well work the cost for the quality I consider this place a value for what you get. Let me tell you about the service, you would think you were dining at a fancy hotel in new York by there...

We had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The Siciliano Pizza came with an absolutely disgusting sausage on top—removing it didn’t help because the taste still lingered. The Salmon Salad was only okay if you avoided the salmon; the pieces were way too large, completely raw, and had a strange texture. As for the Caesar Salad, it was just salt—no balance, no flavor, just overwhelming saltiness.

Despite there being only three other people in the restaurant, we still waited 30 minutes for our food, which made the whole experience even worse. Definitely not a place we’d recommend...

Decepcionante. La atención al cliente es terrible, duran demasiado atendiendo. No recomiendo que vayan a este lugar a festejar fechas o eventos importantes.

Mi experiencia:

Primero: duraron un montón en atendernos y limpiarnos la mesa, hasta tuve que ir a la barra a decirle a una empleada que si nos podían atender porque llevábamos demasiado tiempo esperando y no hubo forma aún haciendo eso, fuimos atendidos hasta que un mesero de percató de que no teníamos nada en la mesa (solo la basura de las personas que estuvieron antes). Segundo: nos traen el menú, pedimos la orden, duran un montón para luego decirnos que no estaban haciendo snakcs en vez de decirnos desde un principio y así pedir otra cosa. Las bebidas nunca llegaron. Tercero: nos dicen que nos van a traer el menú para ordenar otra comida y nunca lo traen, nos quedemos esperando como 20 min a que lo trajeran, nunca llegó. Al final llegó el mesero a pedirnos la orden, cómo íbamos a pedir la orden sin antes LEER el menú??

Estábamos tan molestos con el pésimo servicio que nos brindaron en un día tan especial como hoy y por la larga espera que hicimos para nada, que nos terminamos yendo sin haber comido absolutamente nada.

Ojalá mejoren eso, puesto que el servicio que se le brinca al cliente es uno de los aspectos más importantes en un restaurante. Espero que nadie más tenga que pasar por tan...
