El Garaje de Brosed — Restaurant in Uruca

What a pleasant surprise to stumble across this restaurant this afternoon. In a converted residential garage there sits a thriving local cafe. When we arrived the place was bustling with the staff from the myriad of local businesses from the surrounding industrial area but the staff made sure to welcome us and make us feel at home . Language was no barrier despite our lack of Spanish as our waiter was fluent in English . There are no menus at “ The Garage “ but there were a host of choices offered by our waiter . We both decided to go with the special and were glad that we did . It was scrumptious. A huge portion of grilled chicken breast smothered in homemade honey mustard sauce served with salad and rice. Lunch also included some appetizer popcorn, delicious drinks and a complimentary dessert all for $13 US for two . Little wonder that they have such local appeal. Okay, I know it sounds strange to go to someone's garage to eat, but that's what it is and you'll leave begging for more. Okay, well, it's been spruced up quite a bit, and truth is we sat on the patio. Bit the food... First rate!
