To me, the signs of a great restaurant are the following - clean, spacious with delicious food that feels homemade and hospitable staff. This place ticks all the boxes and we regret that we discovered it only on our last day in Zagreb. The food was absolutely delicious - tasty, generous portions of yummy Balkan food with fresh ingredients. I would recommend any of the cevapi or meat dishes in general, also make sure to try their bread because it's incredible. The service was warm and friendly, and our waitress even brought us some tasty, complimentary cherry liquor (maybe it was rakija!) which was also yummy, great digestive after a big lunch 😁 Had we known about this place earlier, it would have been our daily choice without a doubt. 5/5 I would recommend to anyone in the area to feel the true Croatian spirit through food and...
Read moreThis was one of my favorite meals of my Europe trip. Food was awesome. The service was….european? My server was pretty decent. Sorta felt like I was bothering him by existing, but he did give me a great recommendation. As mentioned, the food was amazing. A group of 5 came into the restaurant….and he began saying…..yes please. Yes please! YES PLEASE! Like them, I wasn’t sure what was going on. He says…you speak English? They nervously nod yes….he snaps back…I do too, yes please. Your English is fine, but this was a weird, unnecessary flex. Still giving you a 4 for the food recommendation...

The food is overpriced for what you get - the cevapi were salty yet somehow still bland, which is quite a feat. Service was poor too - we were a group of 4 and one person got their plate 5 minutes before everyone else, so someone ended up eating cold food. When you've eaten cevapi across the city, you know what good ones should taste like, and unfortunately these don't make the cut. There are much better options elsewhere...
