Kavantura — Restaurant in City of Zagreb

I tried their cold brew coffee and was refreshingly very good ! Their music is tastefully good with a mix of English classics and alternative rock.

I do have one comment regarding their service and policy on the use of laptops. It would be nice if they make it clear about their views on the policy of laptops , phones and books. I visited the cafe a second time and was asked not use my laptop (that day being a weekend). I was initially confused as I did not see any sign or a board saying the same.

After some thought, I understood why they did so from the cafe’s point of view, as they want to customers to be more social and cater to more patrons rather than one person hogging the tables.

For single visitors like me, I usually like to enjoy the cafe’s beverages with a book or reading some material on the Internet. It would be awkward for me to sit and stare at the customers or at empty spaces.

Nevertheless, with the colder months approaching, I’m looking forward to savouring more of their menu and their warm indoor ambience.

What is your policy on reading books inside the cafe though...

We both had a flat white, which tasted ok enough (maybe, a bit too lukewarm for our taste). Having had our share of specialty coffee over the years, we did feel it was ridiculously overpriced. I don't know what "magic" beans they used, but whoever priced this at 4.4 EUR seems to be living in a fairy tale. Moreover, like so many hipster coffee bars, this place somehow shares the same delusion that we're all ironically nostalgic for the chairs from our high school class rooms. (Granted, they do have pillows on them, which is a start)

They also sell AeroPresses, Chemex, and other accessories. These you can find cheaper...

One coffee place next to the other, but I would still choose to go to Kavantura again!

First of all, the waitress apologised that we had to wait after we only have been sitting there for a few minutes. That was thoughtful of her...

Second, they had a few books and a toy coffee set for kids which means they truly care for every client to have a good time.

Third, the cookies they offer there are healthy! How amazing is that?!?

Fourth, most importantly: the coffee offer is almost like one of the big chains! Haha You can have many flavours, iced, almond milk, different roasts...
