A complete surprise find on our walk today which is now the absolute highlight of our two weeks on the island of Hvar!!

PachaMama Beach Bar Hvar is a hidden gem! One of those finds that you want to shout to the world how amazing it is but then you also secretly want to keep it all to yourself!

But because of this amazing, sweet, kind, generous proprietor Manuela, one only needs to visit once and you will feel like part of her family. You will become her friend. And you will want to return over and over again. And at this time, you will want to share the experience with many because in this current world, we all need a few hours of escape to a kind and peaceful place. Which is exactly what PachaMama is!

Besides what I already stated, you will want to come for Manuela’s yummy food and drinks! She’s an incredible cook, taking in account how YOU want your meal! And she is cooking as eco-conscious as possible. All fresh local ingredients cooked with solar power and propane gas. No electricity here.

The food was fantastic. Service perfect with a lot of smiles and fun conversation. The setting was simply BLUE-tiful and so magical.

What’s also fun about the setting, right off the sea, is also in the middle of an olive orchard. Manuela actually harvests and preps her own olives and olive oil.

All over the property is fun little artsy installations making for a very creative visual experience.

Do not hesitate to make the walk out to PachaMama Beach Bar. The path is an easy marked trail. It is so beautiful that you will want to repeat the visit to PachaMama not only to visit with Manuela, eat her food, share her drinks, enjoy the conversation but to also experience the views from...

It’s hard to describe Pachamama without seeing it in person. I would have had a hard time imagining a place. A small acreage olive grove and grape vineyard perched on the rocky slopes of Havr island overlooking the incredible waters of the Adriatic Sea. As my wife and I laze on our cabana protected from the warm sun by the privacy curtains life is idilic. (Watch the video) Joe the doorman/server bought us refreshing Aperol Spritz and a bottle of cold water on ice. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary so we were not to concerned with the budget on this day. But honestly for the stunning location and the friendly service the prices are not crazy expensive. Later we shared a lunch of Bbq shrimps (prawns) with salad followed by warm whole Crayfish and pasta salad with glasses of champagne, all were very nice. There are several ways to get to Pachamuma, the easiest would be water taxi which takes a few minutes from Havr Harbour or a 4km walk along the coastline through the forest. The track is just a well worn rough track but very picturesque, follow the signs to Robinson’s beach but you come to Pachamamas first or ask a local....

From the moment you step into Pachamama Beach Bar/Restaurant, you're enveloped in a warmth that's hard to put into words – and a lot of that is thanks to Manuela. She is, without a doubt, the heart and soul of this charming establishment. With her at the helm, the ambiance feels cozy, familiar, and incredibly welcoming. It's as if you're not just entering a restaurant, but rather being invited into her beloved home.

Manuela's affinity for cuisine is nothing short of poetic. Dining here, with her lovingly prepared dishes, is reminiscent of cherished moments at your grandmother's house – where every meal is cooked with love, passion, and a touch of magic. It's a rare experience to find a place that not only satisfies your hunger but also touches your soul, and that's precisely what Manuela and Pachamama offer.

I was initially attracted to this place because of the atmosphere and it was about 10 minutes walk away from the main beach and all the people. We arrived to a beautiful scene with outdoor couches and hammocks all around this olive grove overlooking the sea. We were very hungry and were told they would open in 15 minutes. 1.5 hours later, we finally received our food (below). It was very pretty but just alright, nothing special. While waiting we had 2 smoothies each (just watermelon juice) one with alcohol and one without. When it came time for the bill, it was WAAAYYYY more than we were expecting and more than we had paid for any other dinner thus far. Secondly, the bill came on a handwritten piece of paper. It seemed like she arbitrarily made up the prices as she went. We gave what we had and had to pay the rest via PayPal. Long story Long, I think we got scammed for mediocre food, 2 hours wait, and watered down watermelon juice for €100. If you go, ask for the prices in advance and I hope you aren't very hungry, cause you'll be waiting awhile.
