Gostionica Burela — Restaurant in Grad Nin

Today I was very disappointed. The waiter did not notice a part of the order, although I Croatian and with each indication also on the food menu showed, what I want. The food is not as tasty as last year and it was too salty and too spicy, I suppose so you have to order more to drink. Besides, I got another drink when I ordered. The waiter did not speak Croatian (any dialect that was very strange to me), no German and if he could speak English, he did not show it. When we wanted to pay, it took about 20 minutes to hand over the bill. Worst of all, I found out yesterday that I had already called and asked if it would be alright at noon today and if we would get something to eat and I was told on the phone that it was not a problem , When we arrived today at 11:30, we had to wait until we could order. I'm not going there anymore. Heute war ich sehr enttäuscht. Der Kellner hat einen Teil der Bestellung nicht mitbekommen, obwohl ich kroatisch kann und bei jeder Angabe auch auf der Essenskarte gezeigt habe, was ich will. Das Essen ist nicht so schmackhaft wie voriges Jahr und es war zu salzig und zu scharf, ich nehme an, damit man mehr zum Trinken bestellen muss. Außerdem habe ich ein anderes Getränk bekommen, als ich bestellt habe. Der Kellner hat kein Kroatisch gesprochen (irgendein Dialekt der sehr fremd für mich war), kein Deutsch und wenn er Englisch konnte, hat er es sich nicht anmerken lassen. Als wir zahlen wollten, brauchte er ca. 20 Minuten um uns die Rechnung auszuhändigen. Am schlimmsten fand ich es, dass ich gestern bereits angerufen habe und mich erkundigt hatte, ob es heute um die Mittagszeit in Ordnung ist zu kommen und ob wir dann auch was zum Essen bekommen und da wurde mir am Telefon gesagt, das es kein Problem ist. Als wir heute ankamen um 11:30 Uhr, mussten wir warten bis wir bestellen konnten. Ich geh dort...

We went out for a dinner here 9 of us before we were heading home from our holiday. We were quickly seated, and our server seemed very friendly and helpful. We all ordered food, which was great portions, and very tasty, drinks always arrived quickly and cold. However when we asked for the bill, we had to ask for spreading the cost in cash and card, as it was difficult to spread it between 9 people. So the waiter said that its not a problem, he could do half-half. So he returned to our table with the bill, which was spread wrong(1300/700 is not half-half for me), so we had to ask him to change it, as we didnt have enough cash on us, we needed to have more on the card payment. Then he changed his attitude, became very rude, he said very arrogantly that "okay i change it, you dont even have money for tips" then he was talking something in croatian, and left. He came back, we payed, and he was very annoyed, he didnt even say bye to us, or thank you, even that we left him 10% tip eventually. It ruined the whole experience(even that the food was great), and the waiter needs some anger management, and a more professional attitude towards...

The restaurant is well organised, tidy, and spacious enough. It's located in a beautiful area with a direct view onto the waterfront, the church tower of Nin, and the mountains in the distance. The staff is kind, friendly, helpful, and attentive. They really make the guests feel welcome there. The prices are decent, not too high. The food is wonderful; it's fresh, tasty, and full of flavours. The presentation/plate of the food is appealing to the eye, and the portion is just right. We had an amazing evening there, with an overall nice and cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious seafood.
