Konoba Sentimenti — Restaurant in Grad Nin

We had a really bad experience at this restaurant. We, along with others seated around us, had very long waits for our food of well over an hour.

We sat down at 7pm and didn’t receive our food until 8:15pm, we were a table of 4 with 2 very hungry children.

At 8pm the waitress apologised for the wait. We only received bread on the table at 7:50pm

We sat in the front part of the restaurant and the waitress seemed over stretched struggling to look after everyone in this large section on her own. We didn’t get our drinks order taken for 15mins after arrival.

Even more disappointingly, when our food arrived; the lamb shank was far too salty and the roasted sea bass drowned in oil and missing the potatoes that are usually in this dish.

Such a shame as we dined here 3 nights before, sat in the back garden and had a lovely experience - that’s why we went back. The service was great and the food super, the best we’d had on our 2-week holiday here in the Zadar area.

We received an apology from the waitress, a free round of drinks and an explanation that our food ticket was lost. Such a shame, continuity is so important though. Be prepared for a long wait if...

Whilst you have plenty of restaurants available here. Sentimenti really offered us an excellent evening. You can shut your eyes and go there... Our waitress was absolutely adorable and looked after us very well. They were all very kind though. The tuna carpaccio was to die for, I initially wanted the octopus which wasn’t available (it would have been fresh if they didn’t have any this evening). The carpaccio so delicious and well balanced. The cured ham was also very good. And with the bread and olive oil the combination was perfect. The stew monkfish was extremely delicious with ratatouille style vegetables with it. We also took the john Dory filet with ricotta cheese raviolis. Their kid menus are also good, you have choice with meat balls, chicken and fries or fish and spinach. The prices are reasonable and fair. The portions are a good size. I have seen a beef plater for 2 which also looked cooked to perfection. Next time, yes I will be back I...

It was almost good food, however the standards of the guest service in Sentimenti restaurant leave a lot to be desired. Restaurant service was unpleasant, everyone looked like they were working there as a punishment, really nervous and sad people. The ordered shells and fish were delicious, unfortunately the appetizer described on the menu as "roast baby beef fillet with carmelised shallot" turned out to be completely raw - there was a lot of blood on the plate and the carmelised onions were typical small shallots with vinegar. Unfortunately, the waiter's only reaction to the fact that the meat is raw was shoulder shrug. We paid for everything, not wanting to argue but unfortunately our experience was spoiled by unprofessional staff and the fact that they didn't handle the raw meat...
