Bravo to the Chef...he is a culinary genius! His flavorful creations delighted our palette. Most interesting menu and interpretation of local ingredients The wine parings were a definite highlight. Ivan, the sommelier deserves lots of praise. The entire staff was professional. Lactose fee menu was accommodated. The view made you feel like you were floating above the Adriatic. If you can afford this pricey experience and if you appreciate fine dining handling, then you will be quite pleased with this elegant experience. This restaurant caters to international visitors and English is automatically spoken. Our party of 4 was mixed Croatian/English speakers, we did ask for a Croatian translations because it's important to hear the description of the foods/wines otherwise you are missing out on the true experience. Truth be told, we prefer a more down to earth dining experience so for us it was at times too formal, too serious and definitely too long. 4 hours for 7 course menu. I wish they offered an abbreviated menu for an under 2 hour experience. I would return for that. Otherwise, this was a 1x only thing for us. For reference, I live in New York and frequent Croatia. I've been exposed to various dining experiences and think elegant can also have a touch of fun and not feel so structured. Again, that is my personal preference and not a negative about the restaurant. Credit to everyone at Nebo who served us...you are all well trained...
Read morewe stayed in the Hotel for several nights and the Hotel experience and service was overall great. But this restaurant is not only in the eye of an Michelin Restaurant, but even if we would rate it like a normal restaurant, very very bad service.
from the moment of arrival, it felt unorganized, unfriendly, chaotic. To make things clear, it was max 40% booked the restaurant, no excuse for to many guests!
we had a reservation but still we needed to wait without any explanation how long at the entrance. After we were shown to the table there was no explanation of the menu or the wine paring.
After many minutes of no service, we reached out to a waiter and ask if we could order anything. All the waiters had the vibe of “ I don’t want to work” , we asked if we could have the wine paring and the food, and the waiter took the order and went away. No questions for water or anything. After more than 30 minutes of no drinks nothing we ask again, is the paring at the end ordered? Could we have some water and if the paring wine takes a while, could we get a wine until we get the paring started…
We traveled all continents and been to many Restaurants including Michelin, but this was embarrassing. The culture and country of Croatia is well known for outstanding service, and I can confirm that after visiting for 20 years Croatia many times, so there must be something wrong with...
Read moreOverall this is a fantastic restaurant and I recommend it to many people! Living not far from the area, and enjoying visiting this location in the summers, I have dined at the restaurant each summer for the past 4 summers. While the food, atmosphere, and staff are all still great, the overall experience has continued to decline since my first visit and the standards have significanlty lowered. The first year you could not even walk through the restaurant with open toed shoes (men) to get to the outside bar. Now, having just visited again in July 2025, guests can wear t-shirts, shorts, and sandals to dinner. Having asked the staff about this, it was generally shrugged off with the idea that they are paying customers. The first visit the head chef came and introduced himself and presented a dish, haven't seen him again since. Other chefs would present a dish, no longer happens. The menu started including bread as a course as part of the degustation menu and, since being introduced, even this "course" has become less and less of a course and comes across as lazy. It seems that since acquiring and maintaining a Michelin star, the attitude is that full effort is no longer required. If you have nothing to compare it to, then this is probably a great experience. If you have dined here previously, or at other Michelin restaurants of the same caliber, you may be a bit...
