A Wonderful Dining Experience

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this lovely restaurant, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. The food was absolutely delicious – every dish we tried was perfectly prepared, bursting with fresh flavors, and beautifully presented. You can really tell that they put a lot of care into their menu.

What also stood out was the incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles, and the service throughout our meal was attentive without being intrusive. It truly made the experience even more enjoyable.

We have been to the Santa Marija restaurant many times over the past few years, every time we come to Hvar we ensure we pay them a visit, and the food and service have been consistently excellent! Their menu is absolutely brilliant; Croatian dishes made with care and fresh ingredients. I could easily recommend so many dishes: Mixed Grill, Octopus Salad, Cheese & Meat Platter, the various Soups and, of course, the Grilled Fish. They also do 5 kinds of Peka also (to be ordered in advance!) Great family-run aggrotourism place - they have some apparments and a restaurant available for outside guests, obviously :). Had some appetizers (octopus salad, local cheese, prosciutto, olives, olive oil, etc) then mains and finished with a desert. The highlight main dish is the octopus 'ispod peke', done via slow-cooking in a closed casserol - absolutely delicious. Lamb chops were fine, risotto not so much. They're famous for their cabot-chocolate cake and you should absolutely get that - it's fabulous!
