Restaurant Otok — Restaurant in Grad Supetar

As this place is listed by Michelin I had some hopes for a decent meal. How disappointed I got! It began with the Aperol Spritz which was bitter and non-descript, probably because there was no Prosecco added but only (tap?) water. The fish soup then was a joke, it being a small plate containing some transparent and tasteless liquid in which literally one small piece of white fish was floating. The fried shrimps I took as a main course were indeed 4 deep fried shrimps laying on a heap of potato chunks (instead of fries as mentioned on the menu) and accompanied by a white sauce which tasted more like sweetened mayonnaise than the promised 'home made tartar sauce'. The 'crispy fried calamari' my companion had chosen were just a pile of cooked (?) octopus pieces with the same potatoes and so-called homemade tartar sauce. The service was friendly but annoying with a waiter constantly asking if everything was OK. The terrace though...

They supposedly have Michelin accreditation from 2023 through 2025, but it sure does not correlate with our experience. The lunch was a total lackluster. Plain, tastless American food with regular freezer fries! The kind of food you could expect at an amusement park during off-season. I felt mislead. I would have never chosen this place if not the Michelin stars.

Our waiter disappeared somewhere and we did not see him. A table next to us decided to go inside and pay. Again, if you promote the restaurant with the Michelin stars you have to meet the expectation of at least basic standard service.

If he would have been somewhere to be seen or come to see if everything was ok, we could at least ask why the Otok parmesan potatoes where switched to freezer fries. We did not want to waste more of our holiday time or energy when we finally had the chance to pay for our meal.

Horrible service, the employee added food to our order without us asking and even got the food confused. My vegetarian daughter almost ate the Calamari as the waitress said it was the artichoke hearts. Every single item had something wrong it it. And they even forgot our vegetable skewers as part of the seared tuna order. So after 50 minutes of waiting and having to ask 4 times to give them to us they gave us a toothpick with Half a RAW tomato and mushroom, no seasoning just raw. They forgot to give us a pizza that we waited 35 minutes to get. The bartender gave us the wrong cocktails 5 TIMES. And they even spilt my water all over my son.
