Awful. The waitress was rude and uneducated. We tried to call for making a reservation but the phone line was off so we went by person to talk for having a place in the evening and the lady said she couldn't reserve it but if we would come in a certain time later we could find a table for sure . We arrived at the time she asked us and she gave us a table near the toilet , with people coming and going , she didn't even come to ask for drinks and left us there for more than half an hour. We then call her asking at least to move us from that place cause was embarrassing and we didn't feel welcomed, but because she was pretty stressed and couldn't speak properly english, she took it personally and started giving us such a bad and impolite attitude, asking us to wait outside if we didn't want to wait in that place. We left and went in a restaurant in the historic centre of the city, definitely worth it. I believe that the nice reviews come from the fact that this is the only restaurant in the area , near by a residential site where tourist stay, quite cheap for big families, but the service is poor and the menu not great compared to others in Croazia . In this part of the country local people are not ready to welcome big amounts of tourists and get stressed too easily. Definitely Not...
Read moreWe just wanted to avoid the usual drag and overpriced restaurants of Dubrovniks old city and 'accidently' found this GEM! We called just before we went to see the sunset at the Imperial Fort. The lovely well mannered lady (Thea) told us that we wouldn't be able to get a table till 9pm. We are so glad we pursued our plan! We were seated at 9.01pm while waiting we had a drink and decided what to eat! The food was abundant, really tasty, presented beautifully and VERY decently priced. So 1 coke, 1 large beer, 1 Aperol Spritz, 1 beef steak in gorgonzola sauce with all the trimmings, 1kg mixed Buzara, 1 pancake (Thea kindly offered to split our portion so we could have them to our different likings! And 1 espresso tjat all totslled to ⁹425,00 kuna!! It's about a 16 minute drive from Dubrovnik but definitely worth it. The service was delightful by all the team, even the young lad who served our drinks, Theas brother but especially our little chat with Thea that gave us some insight of why everything was sooo good....its family run! Thanks for a...
Read moreThis was one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. Firstly, the coeliac people in our party were catered for extremely well, with the host coming out and explaining how they are altering the meal to make it gluten free (which rarely happens). All the food and drinks were extremely tasty, truly lovely food! And the service was PHENOMENAL! When the host found out we got brought an extra aperol instead of white wine she INSISTED we didn’t pay for it even though we were very happy to (because we love aperol too!). Then we left a €20 tip because we were so happy with our food and the service. She chased us down and brought us free shots which were locally made and lovely! And then when we couldn’t get an uber back to our accommodation, the kitchen staff insisted on driving us back as they lived nearby. Truly the most friendly staff, a wonderful family owned restaurant and incredible food. Couldn’t have...
