Disappointing Experience at Tramonto Cocktails and Gelato

I visited Tramonto Cocktails and Gelato at Le Meridien Hotel in Split on two consecutive days. Yesterday, my wife and I had a pleasant experience enjoying some gelato. However, today’s visit was markedly different and unsatisfactory.

Upon arrival, I could not locate the flavor I had enjoyed previously. I requested a sample of one alternative, which proved excessively sweet and not to my liking. When I politely asked to sample another flavor, the staff refused, citing a policy of only one sample per person. This restriction seems unreasonable, particularly for a premium establishment where customers expect flexibility in selecting products.

As a result of this rigid approach, Tramonto has lost me as a customer. I do not recommend this venue based on this...

Children were ignored when asking for glass of water. When asked for a spoon staff would not hand it over, then we heard staff say in Croatian, "skužila je" which means "she realised" about a returning customer that was charged for 5 scoops instead of 3.

They claimed it was an accident but because the customer left immediately they couldn't react in time. Any normal hospitality worker would chase the customer to fix the error. So either this person was lazy and didn't care, or they did it deliberately.

very strange concept regarding ice cream: you have to take a portion that contains 2 ice scoops (price in summer 2025 3€) but you can’t have 2 different scoops! it has to be the same for both of them… so if you want to try 2 different flavours, you would have to get 4...
