Restaurante La Casona Guevara — Restaurant in Santa Clara

A friend and I were in Santa Clara for a tour of the city in October 2016. As we were done our tour for the day and looking for a restaurant to have lunch. Our tour guide asked a local for suggestions and he suggested La Casona Guevara. The restaurant was on the second floor of the building which the main floor was under renovation. So our first taught was a little mixed as we went up the narrow stairs. But as we got upstairs to the restaurant. We were amazed by the decor and the ambiance. We sat at the table by the window even if it wasn't the best view. It was still nice and cozy. The waitress brought us the menu which was all in spanish. Oops need to learn to read and speak the language. Good thing we had our tour guide with us. Thank you Yailiset for translating the menu. We decided to have the fish. The cook was amazing and cooked it to our liking. The plate presentation was beautiful, the portion was plentiful (too much food for me) and always service with a smile. And lets not forget the Mojitos ... the best. The price was really reasonable. It cost us 53 cuc for 3 people. I would recommand La Casona Guevara if you are looking for a nice meal in Santa Clara. I would definately go back to eat there the next time I am in...

Hallo zusammen

Nach mehreren tage in Kuba und bereits 11 wochen durch Süd und Zentrahl Amerika das teuerste uns schlechteste Essen. (In Viradero kostet das Gleiche 70%, obewohl es von Touristen wimelt) Wir hatten fritiertes- und gehrilltes Pulet. Das Fleisch hatte kein geschmack und die dekoration in form vom gemüsse und salat, war mehrere Tage alt. Für Kuba ist der Preis extrem hoch!!! Ich vermute das unser Taxi Fahrer Provision erhält weil hier assen.

Bin selber en leidenschaftlicher koch und habe schon in vielen Länder gegessen. Hier mit abstand das schlechteste Preis/Leistungs verhältnis. Esst im Parck ein Hotdog für 1-2 CUC da seit ihr besser bedient!!!
